Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Haha - I'm happy that you do that too! I always smile, I never judge! Sometimes someone is just having the worst day - and a smile is helpful! I hug a lot too though! If I see you daisychain, we are SOOOOO skipping around for at least five minutes and smiling at everyone! YaY!!! haha!
We must be related! I'm so glad that I'm not the only one out there. I'll be easy to find because I'm always either skipping or dancing. I'm big on hugs too. I agree with you. Sometimes a smile is all a person needs to brighten a bad day. The elderly really seem to appreciate the smiles. They get ignored so much by society that it always brightens their day to have someone acknowledge their existence. They always smile back. Of course I'm one of those people that likes to get everyone's life story too. I talk to waiters, bartenders, salespeople, bus drivers, the UPS guy and anyone else I come across. I've made some good friends that way, just by talking to random people. People you encounter everyday have fascinating life stories, it's just a matter of listening.
Officially: I do not get it. His voice is horrible.
It's not the voice. It's the story that matters most. I recently told someone they were my hero. Well them and Craig Finn.
There are times I swear those songs were written about me, but in a much better way than I could ever do. I'm glad somebody finally had the gumption to do it.
On another note: I'm out. See you folks on Monday.
everyone have a wonderful weekend...lots going on in various places - I'm on the way to Hoopee Jam this afternoon with a crazy younger cousin and her bf (this should get really interesting!)....all packed up though, ready to relax and have a tent all to myself and really looking forward to it. I'm counting it as a nice, low key, warmup for Bonnaroo!
so everyone have fun, stay safe and remember your sunscreen and hydration! love y'all....

A Hold Steady show makes me think more of a rock'n'roll revival tent celebration than a concert, and Craig's more of a storytellin' preacher leading his flock than he is a singer. Very life-affirming, I often get covered in goosebumps when I see them.

My best friend moved back to Ireland today. :-( I was looking forward to doing our standard World Cup viewing and partying this year but it's not going to happen. I'll have to drag a new cohort this year I suppose. I feel like I've lost my twin. We did so much together. Looks like I'll be spending the holidays back in Ireland this year.

Kim's useless trivia for the day: that condition is called pica and is usually a symptom of severe iron deficiency. There is a market in inner city Atlanta near where I will soon be working that actually sells bags of "white dirt" in the produce section, because iron deficiency is so prevalent among the lower socioeconomic classes. I think thats kinda sad.
