So, maybe you get this question alot, but what should I expect at Bonnaroo? My favorite artist EVER might play this year. Am I going to be so far away that I can't see that stage? I've never been to a festival nor have I ever camped. Is it hard to get used to?
I'm just not sure about the having to smell horse feces and portajohns and stuff like that. ;D

Ryan Adams. I REALLY hope he plays. I'm going to be going by Greyhound to Bonnaroo though. I hope I get there early enough/not have to walk a lot to the camping grounds.

I remember we had someone that took the 'hound to roo. This was a few years ago. He had no problems other than it took longer getting there. Hopefully he'll show up and give more info. Check out the That Tent section, you'll find tons o good info about getting there.

I would suggest against going greyhound. We took the bus to roo in 05 and it wasn't fun. It's nearly impossible to sleep during the ride and travel time takes 3-4 times as long an if you go by car. Also, it's about a 4 mile hike from the station to the campground. With all your camping gear, water, and other supplies, thats quite a walk. Greyhound will get you there but I would say your best bet is to try to find someone that is going and hitch a ride.

if you're going greyhound do yourself a favor and pack light so you can carry your stuff & stay in camping only, you'll be as close as you can be to centeroo.

go camping a few times this spring; you said you have never camped before, and i learn best by doing - same goes for camping, you'll be able to better figure out what you'll need and won't need as far as the campsite goes. come with an open mind and a big smile and you'll be just fine.
I obviously can't speak for anyone here, but I would think that coming from NC, you could find someone that would be willing to pick you up on their way and drive you in- I would hold off on the Greyhound plans until closer to the fest. There are plenty of people who haven't made their way to inforoo yet, and once it gets closer to time, I would almost guarantee there will be people looking for riders that could get you there more quickly, with more fun and less cost.
