I was just doing a google search for bonnaroo rumors and a link for Dave Speak comes up. If case you didn't know, Dave Speak is one of the biggest Dave Matthews Fan sites around (they have over 3,000 that receive their news letter and 18,00 that are signed on to their forum.)next to probably nancies.org.
Anyways, They had an articale on Bonnaroo dates and they even linked us as being a place to pick up your latest Bonnaroo rumors. I think that is pretty neat..even if you are not a fan of Dave Matthews.
Bonnaroo 2007 Dates Announced - June 14th - 17th, Manchester, TN Monday, December 11, 2006
The guys at Superfly and Big Hassle have announced that the sixth annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival is to take place June 14th - 17th, 2007. According to the email announcement "the four-day camping and music festival will once again be held on the same beautiful, 700-acre farm in Manchester, TN, 60 miles southeast of Nashville.
A limited quantity of discounted early-bird tickets available before the line-up is announced. The early-bird pre-sale begins Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at 10:00 AM Eastern and ends as soon as the allotment is sold-out."
Not even a whisper about potential artists for the 2007 headliner. However, frequent Bonnaroo performer Trey Anastasio recently had his own suggestion for a headliner in a Q&A with Rolling Stone: RS: Who do you think should headline Bonnaroo in 2007? Trey Anastasio: Tool! I saw them here in New York at a small theater, and I loved them. They were so loud. They're the most psychedelic band going. The funny thing is, with their odd time signatures and patterns, they sound kinda like Phish.
No matter who performs it is sure to be a big name. The Bonnaroo Wikipedia article had a list of "rumored" performers recently that was of course taken down because it is pure speculation:
Rumored acts for the 2007 event include Tea Leaf Green, Widespread Panic, Tool, Bruce Hornsby, Tenacious D, Pearl Jam, Rhythm Devils, TV on the Radio, Queens of the Stone Age, Wilco, Belle & Sebastian, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, The Shins, Sufjan Stevens, Guster,The New Pornographers, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, The Hold Steady,Magnolia Electric Company, The Decemberists, Yonder Mountain String Band, My Morning Jacket, and Deerhoof. A full announcement of initial bands playing isn't expected until late January 2007 at the earliest
Last year the Radiohead headliner information leaked months in advance of the official announcment, so there is some merit to tracking the rumors. You can have your fill at the Inforoo Bonnaroo discussion forum.
