i only caught their seque with moe. in 2009 but they absolutely rocked the tent into the ground, which to me proved they can handle a latenight (but i doubt they'll get one). anyone else plan on catching their set this year?
They're playing What Stage on Friday. I'd guess right before MMJ.
Love, love, love them. Saw them New Year's Eve in Burlington and it was awesome. They did a short set followed by a costume change where they tranformed into the cast from The Big Lebowski and then played the soundtrack from the movie plus a bunch of their own stuff. It kicked ass!
I really don't have a favorite one so it is hard to pick one to be a good starter.... they are all pretty good, but none of them really show how amazing they are live, or how amazing her voice is.

I remember seeing her in 2006 I think? At a free show. I can't listen to her music on record because it bores me to tears, but she's pretty alright live.
Ps. They will not be playing right before MMJ because MMJ will have a late night set.
That's what we're all hoping but until it's confirmed by Roo or MMJ then I'm cautiously expecting them to pre-headling Arcade Fire.
What do you think the difference it sets will be opposed to PHL or LN, you got to think we lose 2 hours of MMJ if they are a pre headliner..ugh, that would suck...are you going to MT.Jam?
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.

If they pre-headlined it would definitely be like 2 hours max. 2.5 hours if we're lucky but IDK.
I do think that it makes the most sense to do Buffao Springfield --> Arcade Fire --> My Morning Jacket on the main stage.....i'm just preparing myself for the disappointment in case they don't get a late night slot.
I'm planning on going to Mountain Jam......I don't want to miss that. Portugal The Man, Dawes, Avetts, Grace Potter, MMJ.....so many great acts
hope she brings Benny Yurco, he has been playing with her a bit lately...I played hockey with him when we were kids, would be pretty cool
I don't think he's just been playing with her, he's in the band. (He was The Dude on NYE and he got a double-necked guitar for his birthday... all the better to play "Hotel California" on.)
Also, a kinda great article on the band from Relix, including why Bonnaroo 2009 was such a turning point for them.

I would not move from the What stage Friday after 5pm

Yeah, you and tens of thousands of other people! Myself included!!
I really expect Friday to be something like Mumford & Sons -> Grace Potter & the Nocturnals -> My Morning Jacket -> Arcade Fire. (I hope that I'm wrong and MMJ is late night, as they should be.) Either way, it's entirely possible that I might actually spend an entire day at What for the first time in eight Roos.
Well it doesn't look like Grace will be sticking around long during Bonnaroo, so no guest appearance with Warren. The Nocturnals are playing in California on that Saturday.
