I have seen Grace Potter perform... I think five times now? First time she opened for someone, no clue who she was but fell in love. Gotta love a hot chick who can wail and play the piano and guitar. They were great as a band, they played well off each other. FAR better live.
Saw her at 9:30 Club last weekend as well and I was underwhelmed. Since she is now a VH1 Diva and all over the radio, the performance was far more polished, very pop-friendly. When she and the band DID jam out, the crowd didn't get it, I think they felt it, and they moved on. I didn't hate it, but it wasn't the phenomenal show I have experienced in the past. I hope she and her band bring back the fun, the spontaneity, the real rocking when they come back to the Farm.

I also have seen Grace about five times now, first time she opened for Gov't Mule. Could we see Warren Jammin with them? She is awesome, got to meet her the first time and she was a class act. They are gonna rock!!!
I recently downloaded her Daytrotter Session which has an awesome cover of Paint it Black. Does she still do covers during each set or is it a lot of original material? I've heard little of her original material outside of Paris.
It looks like they've coverd the following in the last three months (omitting teases/intros):
White Rabbit (Jefferson Airplane) Crazy On You (Heart) Elvis Presley Blues (Gillian Welch) Glory Box (Portishead) Why Don't You Love Me (Beyonce) I Shall Be Released (Dylan) Golden (My Morning Jacket) Grandma's Hands (Bill Withers) Needle and the Damage Done (Neil Young) Over the Hills and Far Away (Led Zeppelin) Muzzle of Bees (Wilco) Feel Like Makin' Love (Bad Company) Idaho (Josh Ritter)
