Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'll start it up... Where should I start with: Buffalo Springfield? Gogol Bordello? (well I already Gypsy punks... where do I go from here?) Primus?
Buffalo Springfield: I'd start with the retrospective considering they only released 3 albums... Primus: Sailing the Seas of Cheese or Pork Soda Gogol: Just get on youtube, search "gogol bordello live" and you'll get it.

I want a central thread where we can discuss this without wading through several pages of discussion for the popular artists. Also for the less popular artists wthiout their own thread, this thread could help prevent more and more threads for popping up if they can just request this here rather than start a new thread for each artist

Anyone know any Amos Lee? I heard his song "Windows Rolled Down" on the radio recently, and literally fell i love with this song. It's from his latest album.
Also, best Ray La Montagne album? Anyone know if he's going to be with The Pariah Dogs?

I think it is important to make a distinction in this thread. there are lots of bands that have great songs on great albums.... but that doesn't equal a great live show. that said, JTE would be a great tent day act. perfect listening music for a little relaxing-getting-hair-of-the-dog type saturday afternoon.

The Black Keys - Thickfreakness or Big Come Up are all I've heard !!! - s/t or Louden Up Now (probably won't hear much of them live) Deer Tick - War Elephant, Born on Flag Day, Black Dirt Sessions (basically can't go wrong with these guys) Deerhunter - Cryptograms

Alberta Cross only has out an EP and a full length. I haven't heard the full length yet, but I'm in love with the EP. So sad I missed them in 09. Definitely check out Is This It first for the Strokes and then Room On Fire. For the Black Keys, I'd say Rubber Factory -> Brothers -> Magic Potion. Tho you can't go wrong with any album by them.

Arcade Fire - The Suburbs (the other two are good too, but they didn't originally suck me in. The Suburbs did, and now I love all three albums) Ray Lamontagne - Trouble Amos Lee - Amos Lee Alberta Cross - The Thief & The Heartbreaker Grace Potter and the Nocturnals - This is Somehwere (Listen to "Apologies") Jessica Lea Mayfield - With Blasphemy So Heartfelt (Listen to "For Today")

The Strokes - Is This It?
It's their first, and their best, album imo. Listen to the whole thing, it's only ~35 minutes or so. They also are releasing a new album in late March called "Angles", so I would imagine you would want to listen to a good bit of that beforehand, as they will probably play a good bit of that album.
Let's see... Arcade Fire - Funeral My Morning Jacket - Okonokos Lil' Wayne - Tha Carter III The Strokes - Is This It? The Low Anthem - Oh My God, Charlie Darwin

Black Keys - Magic Potion is insane and by far my favorite. ( Just Got To Be, Your Touch, Your the One, STRANGE DESIRE, Modern times, and Goodbye Babylon are superb track)
Laggy I've been a Chiddy Bang fan since he came out. Check out his free mixtapes Air Swell and The Swelly Express. (Hey London, Stylo remix, Never, Danger Zone and Fresh Like Us are his best songs not found on The Preview.)
