I know that many of you have heard of, or know of, Mr. Bill Hicks. One of the greatest stand-up comedians ever known to mankind. I searched and could not find a thread but know he has been rightfully mentioned numerous times. I know he is well known in these types of circles but some of you might know nothing and should be familiar with this great comic. So here is a catalog of different stuff that should be viewed by anyone who is a skeptic of our current way of life and the ironies and contradictions that bombard us on a daily basis. Bill Hick will truely be missed by myself, so take the time to get to know a dead man.

When I first saw Hicks on Comedy Central, I realized that stand-up could be so much more than some dingbat on stage telling lousy jokes. He made me laugh as a teen, and I didn't even know why. Now I know it's so I don't cry or fly into a rage at the truth he is so unafraid to say. A true revolutionary. I still wake up with the end of his American Gladiators bit going through my head.

I have always mean to do this, but I want to contact Sacred Cow and ask the adress for the house Bill Hicks was born in. I go to college in Valdosta and thats where he was born, so I thought it would be pretty cool to just drive by it.

Don't get me started on Dennis Leary. He's a talentless hack who stole most of his good material from Bill Hicks. I was not surprised to see he wound up doing lame romantic comedies and a stupid cable TV drama.

^ amen, he can't even pull off the Hicks jokes. He can really take an awesome joke and make it lame and over-acted.
I saw half an episode of rescue me and then took a crap on my tv.
Just think if it wasn't for CIA induced cancer, hicks would be making hilarious and mind-expanding movies right now, even joing us at ROO. so sad........

I hope to gosh that Tool plays some soundbytes, maybe even an intro with a few mintues of his stand up. they should show Revelations in the movie tent.

EBAY has many copies of it for sale. Apparently it has been on DVD in the UK for somewhile now. I got mine and watch it when I need my Hicks fix.
