here's my only plausible solution to the situation, although it could just be a result of a lack of sleep all week...
actors/actresses are "in" movies because that movie is not going to change no matter how much time passes. their roles will be the same in the movie every day, and so people decided to use "in" to describe their presence due to the lack of change with multiple viewings.
actors/actresses are "on" tv shows for the exact opposite reason. Their roles change with every new episode. The same character, but with different lines and different roles in the plot. Since this is an ongoing job of acting, people use "on" to refer to the fact that they are still working at it.
Thanks for giving me something to ponder while at work

You are a wise man. That makes perfect sense. (IOUKarma)

I think I have mastered the fine art of looking busy while doing absolutely nothing.
The guy I was dating decided to end it, and I don't even care. I have a new guy anyway who I really like!!! He is in Tennessee so we can have fun this weekend..I'm trying a new unmentionable
Anyway, I'm bored at work. Hot damn am I ready for the weekend!!!!
Why is it, when I am at the gym working out, someone gets on the machine next to me REEKING of nasty smelling perfume? Why would you bath in that stuff to go sweat at a gym?

What kind of social status do you have to hold in order to be labeled "assassinated" rather than just "murdered?"
Assassination is a killing in order to further a political purpose. For example, when people say that John Lennon was assassinated, they are mistaken in their terms.

I want my seratonin back
No other randomness right now, other than the fact that I'm at work again and that makes me sad because I still hate my job I wish I could just quit and be lazy for awhile....

Thanks snoochio, that does help a little it was totally worth it.
On another note, the ladies at lunch (my office is right next to the kitchen) are talking about giving birth and babies crowning and whatnot....HOW can they do that while they eat? geez....

Once you have been there - it is quite easy to do. Also - once you have a child - you will never again have modesty in your life - you are willing to talk about anything anywhere to anyone and if you gotta pee - there is no problem doing it in the woods - and if there is not a dressing room available and you have a limited amount of time - you don't care
When I am feeling productive, I am productive at everything all at once.
Here I sit, futher ahead on my weekly paper layout than usual. Slacking as much on the interwebs as usual and thirsty for some message board movement (this off season is killing me here), and listening to an audio book. (so I'm even efficiently slacking, if you will).
When i'm feeling like slacking, I slack at everything at once. Sometimes I manage to waste hours upon hours and I don't even know how I passed the time.
And as much as I wanted to try sushi this past weekend, I may never like it. I had a *cooked* eel and avocado roll..and the squishy texture made me feel quite squeamish. This makes me feel kind of bummed because I thought I'd be much more in to it. Or, it just means I really don't like avocado much.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
^^^^if you figure out how to like sushi - let me know - I just cannot stomach it - the rice and seaweed are ok - even the occasional carrot or celery stick -but I cannot handle the fish

I tried sushi, and didn't like it. Now, when I tell people I don't like sushi they just say "Whatever, you wouldn't even know you probably never tried it!" I think this accusation is probably true for the majority of people, but it's not for me.
While driving to lunch I saw an old VW van today pained bright yellow with little windows on the side and on the back it read "Yellow Submarine." It made my day. Pictures later... if you're lucky
