Just had to get this off my chest about people. This has some relevance to the board and it doesn't. It really drives me nuts about all these people pumping festivals that say yea man we can give you a ride from such and such city or town, just email me or what not, split gas....etc. So you email or message them and then no response wtf!? is up with that. Are you trying to portray an image that your are not? A desperate attempt to reform your character to a modern day "hippie"? That is so weak. Maybe I have just had bad experiences. You get the point. Get real.........out!
Plans change, people drop out, more people come on board, illnesses, arrests, poor memory, births, deaths, I ran out of gas, I...I had a flat tire, I didn't have enough money for cab fare, my tux didn't come back from the cleaners, an old friend came in from out of town, someone stole my car, there was an earthquake, a terrible flood! Locusts! IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD!!!!
But seriously. I apologize for all the flakes. Most don't set out to deliberately screw you over... shit just comes up and they're lax about letting you know. So, you need a ride from Freakville, or what?

I see your point. Seriously, if you aren't really going to help someone out, don't offer in the first place.
I offered a fellow inforooer from the UK to use my address to send his ticket because he was travelling when the ticket arrived. We messaged each other, we made plans, exchanged info and I am going to email him as soon as his ticket arrives and meet up with him when he gets to Nashville. So some of us really do follow through
