Everyone probally knows they have came out with a new album, which by my standards is a great album, but i was wondering will they play anything from their old album?

I'm sure they'll mix it up a decent amount. Their new album is nowhere near long enough to even fill a full set if they played the whole thing. I wouldn't worry.
I hope to God they play Carolina Drama though. That's one of the best songs I've heard in a long time.

I'll admit to being a bit of a grammar Nazi. I don't usually call people out, but if it is in the title of the thread I think it's something that should be spelled correctly.
Except for the time that kid titled a thread "who should be in this year's supper jam?"

The Raconteurs are starting their tour here in Nashville on 4-14-08 at Mercy Lounge. I tried to get tickets when they went on pre-sale today at 10:00AM and they were out at 10:01 WTF! ???

ohhh bummer, they are selling out a lot more now then hat they used to, when i went to one concert we had two extra tickets and we were going to give them away to anyone at our shcool who wanted to come with us and we couldnt find anyone who wanted to go, but right when we pulled up to park some guy came up to us and asked if we wanted to buy or sell tickets so we sold them to him lol

dammit! why didn't i know about this. it really doesn't look like i had a chance of getting tix anyways.
^^^Well, in this case, the industry getting tickets really has nothing to do with the problem. It's just that Mercy Lounge is a TINY venue. Same problem last year when the Stripes started their tour in the Cannery Ballroom and Cannery is significantly bigger than Mercy.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.
We were able to get tickets for this show, AND the kick-off White Stripes show last year. Yes, they sell out quickly because the venue is tiny, but from my experience persistence pays.
Both times, I just sat there and refreshed the page... OVER and over and over... And both times, it worked... Just food for thought.
It may be that some credit cards get rejected, I'm not sure where the logic is in this, but it works...
Oh, hey wolf... is City Hall a cool venue? We have Clutch coming up there, I have never been.

It isn't a bad venue, but certainly not the best I've been to. I saw John Butler Trio there last fall and I enjoyed it. The sound is not perfect and parking was hard to find but it was well worth it

I got tickets for both nights with no problems. I really expected to get screwed, but it worked out just fine.
I was sweating over that White Stripes show at the Cannery last year too, but I just kept refreshing until tix came up. Stellar show...of course, when does Jack White NOT deliver?
But The Raconteurs at Mercy Lounge? Lordy. That's gonna be sweet. I cannot wait. There's gonna be some power emanating from that tiny stage.

I just recently went to pei wei in Brentwood, TN and hey, what do ya know? The raconteurs eating with chopsticks. I've seen Jack around before in Nashville anyway, but it was cool. Sorry i just felt the need to throw that out there?
It looks like you all have a second chance tomorrow for tickets! Good Luck!
The Raconteurs are happy to announce that they've moved venues for their two shows in Nashville on Monday, April 14th and Tuesday, April 15th to accommodate more of their fans.
The shows will now take place at The Cannery Ballroom instead of the Mercy Lounge and tickets for this increased capacity will go on sale via the presale link in the tour date section of theraconteurs. com on Monday at 10 AM CST. There is a 2 ticket limit per person, all tickets must be picked up at will call and immediate entry into the venue is required. All tickets purchased for the shows at the Mercy Lounge will be honored at The Cannery Ballroom and can be picked up at the box office will call.
I am attending the Raconteurs show tomorrow (driving in from Memphis) and was hoping for some info. on the venue. We are planning on getting there around 1:00 to scope things out and then getting in line as early as we need to in order to ensure a spot on the stage. Any information that you might have regarding what time we should plan on getting in line, whether we will be able to put out camp chairs while we wait, whether there are bathrooms nearby, etc... would be GREATLY appreciated. I am hoping that someone here attended the WS show there last year and will have some info. My understanding is that cameras weren't allowed at that show. Any idea if they will be for this one? If I am first (or near first) in line, will I get right on the stage? Sorry to ramble, but I am looking for basically ANY information that could help me plan for tomorrow.
i was at the white stripes show they did last year in the same manner. no need for camp chairs. come half an hour before doors open if you are really intent on front and center, but there isn't a bad spot in the room. the venue is way smaller than you are expecting. im not in nashville at the moment, so i won't be there, but prepare for an incredible, loud ass show in a really intimate setting. ive seen bigger shows in a high school gym.
