The jazz fusion supergroup is reuniting for shows this June: Chick Corea, Lenny White, Stanley Clark and Al DiMeola would be THE most mind blowing set at Bonnaroo. It would be the single most amazing addition that I could imagine is a realistic possibility. PLLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSEEE!!

It's difficult to think of any big names being added to such an already heavy lineup, but RtF makes a little more sense with the current absence of jazz on the lineup. Here's hoping.

I think RTF is going to be the big announcement when they release the Somethin' Else Tent lineup...
Surely you don't mean that RtF would be in the jazz tent? Because they are Which Stage caliber, in my opinion. But I could see them being added with the jazz tent, as a jazz-themed round of additions.
With a potentially high turn out, I'd imagine Return To Forever would be in a tent. They are a really big band, as far as music history is concerned, but I don't think that allot of Bonnaroo's attendees are too aware of them, or at least not enough to be one of the two stages. I don't think that they'd put them in the Jazz tent, however.
If Return to Forever comes to Roo this year, then Superfly next year needs to cook up some magic and somehow reunite the first formation of Mahavishnu Orchestra.

Jazz themed round of additions.
If they played the tent, they'd have to play multiple sets all through the weekend...
I'd love to see Return to Forever, but I don't wanna have to wait 3 hours in line to see um in that jazz club thing. Granted it would be badass to see um in something that small, I think the turn out would be too much to justify it. I'd actually be suprised if they didn't come to Bonnaroo. I believe they said they would be playing alot of fests this summer in their original press release reguarding the reunion.

Well I would say that these June tour dates, would cancel them being there....but they have Roo Sunday off and are going from Arizona to Missouri...so this actually makes me think they are even more of a possibility now...

on one hand if they were to play multiple sets in the jazz tent throughout the weekend, this would give me some flexibility as far as conflicts would go...at the same time I would dread having to stand in line for the jazz tent...

On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."
