or Black Francis or whatever he wants to call himself these days. I think he would fit in great. Especially if he were to get back together with the Catholics. The Pixies would be awesome, but I think he would be a better fix solo or with the Catholics. I've seen him play a 50 song set, so he could be pretty good for late night.
I pray to God the Pixies go on ONE more reunion tour. I didn't even knew who they were back when they did their first reunion tour. But at least Bonnaroo could book Frank Black or the Breeders. Any members of the Pixies would be nice. Oh, and Karma for the thread.

One of my all-time favourite concert stories is from the Pixies reunion tour
unfortunately, I was too young to catch the Pixies their first time around. Then one day, I was looking at the local listings on Pollstar, even before the Pixies announced the reunion tour. All of a sudden, I saw a listing for a freaking Pixies show about 15 minutes from my house. Not only that, BUT IT WAS THE FIRST FREAKIN REUNION SHOW!! Tickets sold out in 2 minutes and I was shut out, but maybe 3 weeks before the show, a dude in Thunder Bay posted a message on FrankBlack.net saying his friend had to drop out and he had an extra ticket. I was the first to respond and ended up getting said ticket for free. A few days before the show, word leaked of a secret show in Minneapolis the night before the show here, so I ended up actually seeing the 2nd reunion show, but even still to this day, I can't believe that I have actually seen the Pixies and even more so, can't believe I didn't have to pay.
Besides all that, it was a pretty terrible show though. Musically, at least. But then again, they could have walked on stage, farted into their microphones and left the stage and I'd still consider it one of the best shows I've ever seen.
i met Frank Black once he said that him and the rest of the Pixies were trying to get Kim Deal to join them in the studio to do an album and then a tour... but that was a year and a half ago. and now Kim's doing her Breeders thing. so it'll be a while if it does happen...
I seem to remember reading somewhere that the Pixies had actually recorded new demos, but weren't happy enough with them to do a full album. It could have been entirely speculation, but I'm fairly certain I read it somewhere.
I also got to meet Frank Black one time he signed my ticket stub as Fran Blan. I think some people left with Bill Clinton signatures, too.

for my signature he picked up 2 sharpies and held them together and signed... so i kinda have 2 frank black signatures! haha.
