Caucasian?.......Heavy Set?........Midwestern Wedding?......The video is clearly criticizing and stereotyping the country that I call home. IMO, anyone who signs up to be in this video should be shipped to Newfoundland permanently. Like the police stings where they offer free vacations to the felons with free-standing warrants and arrest them when they come to claim their prize. I mean I'm all for their freedom to criticize our nation and there is ample grounds to criticize it, but to come into our territory and advertise it as a "super fun shoot" is just an underhanded slap in the face. I mean, come on. Show some pride in your home. *smite away*

I already sent headshots/experience/description/pics/etc in.... I've got a great feeling about this one! Brooklyn isn't that far from here! (I'm betting that they're going to be in the big studio there.)

Dude... Most of the Ukrainians and Russians that I know are "bigger." I'm guessing that they're casting for this "type" first. You're totally jumping to conclusions. I really hope that I'm chosen for the vid!
I was being facetious about shipping the participants to Newfoundland, but I really don't think my assumptions about the nature of the video are too off-based........
"American Wedding"- Gogol Bordello
Nothing gets these people going not even Gypsy Kings nobody talks about my Supertheory of Supereverythings! SO be you Donald Trump Or be an anarchist Make sure that your wedding Doesn't end up like this
I understand the cultures Of a different kind But here word celebration Just doesn't come to mind

Wow...I never thought I'd see someone ripping Gogol for something like that...they're probably the most culturally diverse, open-minded band around today...
Glad you love your country and all....but I think you might be missing the point...of both what they're about, and what the country is about.

I'm not ripping on them.....I just think it's quacked up for them to be in America casting and filming a song that is clearly meant to take a jab at American culture (although not terribly offensive). How would it look for an American band to go to Afghanistan and say "hey, we're gonna be filming a video for a song that is poking fun at your cultural customs. But don't worry.......It's tongue and cheek. Stereotypical Afghanis, send in your headshots!" It's just become so trendy and hip for people to criticize America whenever they have an audience to project upon. And they just eat that stuff up. But God forbid an American criticize another culture! That's not very open-minded or worldly!
-sorry for opening a can of worms. and moby, i loved your bonnaroo essay.
