I still believe that Phil will be headlining- and closing Bonnaroo on Sunday night, as per Roo '06.
Hear me out.
1. Jack Johnson sucks, and there is no way he is headlining.
2. The only reason Phil isn't higher up on the artist list is because he will be playing AND headlining at Langerado and Rothbury. Thus, Superfly needed to put some other acts ahead of him on the artist announcement list to generate more publicity for the event.

um and Jack Johnson isn't headlining a bunch of fests? In the US alone there's Bonnaroo, Coachella, and Kokua and rumored All Points West. I think Phil isn't listed as a headliner because A: He's not headlining. It's (usually) pretty important contractually that the billed headliners...well - headline. Notice how Chris Rock for example is listed in the headliner area instead of in comedy. Notice how Jack Johnson and Kanye West are in front of him - both headliners.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
I agree that Phil & Friends will be closing out the fest. Jack Johnson will close out the Which stage on Sunday. If you remember last year everybody thought the White Stripes were a traditional headliner at first. They were a headliner of sorts because many people left after their set. I may be mistaken but I think on the initial announcement they were listed before WSP on the artist list but later moved after.
i wouldn't guarentee anything till it happens my friend. My hope is more that Superfly has better taste than to let Jack Johnson play the last show at Bonnaroo. I will laugh VERY hard if he does because there will probably be about 20,000 people left at the show and Im being gracious. I have seen Jack Johnson and I like him, but he has absolutely NO business headlining Bonnaroo. His show works with under 10,000 people but over that, FORGET ABOUT IT. I've said it before and I will say it many more times. I will only be alright with Jack Johnson headlining Sunday if Zep plays
