Me and my buddy ended up back at Dax's hotel room that night and partied with him and the band and Dax played 6 acoustic songs for us and took requests, it was quacking amazing. He played "been smoking too long with hit the road jack" for the first time that night he said. He told us to listen to it and tell him if we thought it was any good, and it was an overwhelming yes. I'll never forget that night. He said he loved Roo the year Deadboy played and he walked around Roo all day that day and said he had a blast.
P.S. Ashville is a very very very nice city I thought.

That sounds like such an awesome time. Having a private acoustic set must have been so cool. I saw him walking around before the show as we were waiting in line. Everyone was just talking and such...I saw him coming up the sidewalk and I just whispered to him hi. He seems so shy. After the show I got a good pic with him. Asheville is a wonderful place and I am glad you had a great time. Come back now...ya hear lol

Yea we just got really lucky and ended up getting drunk with him at a bar after the show and he invited me and like 4 friends back. One of em' had a guitar so he and Dax did No Rainbow together which as cool. He is on probation so he couldn't really party so he played and sang for us. That man's voice was fucking unbelievable even at 3am after a show, drinking, and whatever else. He played Ancient MAN, No Rainbow, Dogheaded Whore (my request), Been Smoking Too Long/ Hit the Road Jack, and two others I can't think of off the top of my head right now. Nothing beats a lil Motel 8 show by Dax lol. He has to come back to Bonnaroo, he is big in Louisiana which is Superfly's territory so I don't see why they don't get him for next year again.
