My hope is that TMV asked Bonnaroo to wait until their tickets went onsale for this most recent tour before announcing them... but it's leaked to too many media outlets already.

ive already said it in another post that im not a fan of TMV, and dont care to see them....but im glad they will be there...by the sounds of it everyone want to see them, so everyone will get to see them...so hopefully that gives me a good spot for superjam???..or any other band i want to see

^^ Agreed. I'm not a big fan of TMV. I don't think they suck, they just don't do it for me. But just about everyone else here on these boards really wants them to play so I hope TMV get added for the sake of Inforoo members.

that's what i'm thinking. same thing is going on with that other festival. they will be there.

Jambase is a resource for Bonnaroo. They use it to put together the schedule. Jambase has "inside info." I think they just messed up and weren't supposed to announce TMV. or maybe TMV will be added tonight.
Honestly, if TMV is added, I'm struggling to see how this festival doesn't go four full days. The lineup is stacked with acts that can fill out headlining level time slots...
Pollstar said Zep. That had a whole "Zeppelin IS playing Roo after all" article that they conspicuously took down after Superfly denied Zeppelin's presence. They replaced it with a completely different press release.

The quacking Mars Volta! I figured they would be added, and had multiple discussions with my roommate as to when/when we think they would play. Now based on last years fest, and Superfly trying to please everyone, I see the following happening:
Friday late nights:
Volta in a tent, because... Phil and Friends get a 2nd stage latenight. Last year we had the Lips one night, and SCI the other. This gives the indie crowd their big 2nd stage late night, and pleases the hippies with one too.
I personally think Volta may be a little larger than a tent show, but I can't see Superfly giving both Volta and Sigur Ros (not confirmation, but we all know they will be late night, just like the Lips last year) both the 2nd stage late nights.
That being said, that tent is going to be PACKED. And if my timeslots work out, I will be leaving Metallica early to get nice and close for Cedric and Omar, and perpare to let them rip my face off!
Their is one let down from all this though. MMJ will not get a latenight. Now, I never thought MMJ would get a latenight, but I had the slightest of hope I guess. Since Volta is "confirmed" I can't see them getting anything but a latenight. So unfortunately I think MMJ is out, and instead will be pre-Pearl Jam on Saturday on the main stage. I would like to think they would get the White Stripes spot from last year, but that seems all but locked for Kanye. Time will tell...

tmv isn't headline level. they would probably play late night again. i really can't imagine them not being late night.
Now, I may be getting way ahead of myself, but I just hope to god that if they are indeed playing, that their set doesn't conflict with Levon Helm, Sigur Ros, or Allman Brothers... I would seriously cry.
