Honestly bear in mind that 'Fuel' aside, Metallica have chosen to ignore practically everything off 'Load', 'Reload' and 'St. Anger' live. Even in interviews they seem to be acknowledging that those albums haven't aged well for them. But I think your playlist is pretty good for someone unfamiliar. My wife's not into metal at all but she came with me once to see 'em and really enjoyed it. It's not as thick-headed as anyone would think. They recently played the Bridge School Benefit acoustically and covered Garbage, Blue Oyster Cult, Dire Straits, New Earth and Bob Seger so it's not like they don't have their lighter side.
Less than heavy: Fade To Black, Call Of Ktulu (from S&M), Welcome Home (Sanitarium) Orion, To Live Is To Die, Nothing Else Matters, Unforgiven and Unforgiven II, Mama Said, Until It Sleeps, Hero Of The Day, Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn, Low Man's Lyric (even though I just hate that one), Fixxxer, Sweet Amber and if you can get your hands on All Within My Hands from the Bridge Benefit show you'll be set for the softer stuff. Covers are easy: Astronomy, Turn The Page, Loverman, Sabbra Cadabra(sp? Sorry. Should know that!)
More than heavy: Whiplash, Phantom Lord, Creeping Death, Ride The Lightning, Battery, The Thing That Should Not Be, Disposable Heroes, Blackened, One, Harvester Of Sorrow, Dyers Eve, Sad But True, The God That Failed, My Friend Of Misery, 2 x 4, Attitude, Frantic and anything, that's anything off the first Garage Days EP.

my pandora radio took me from the horned goddess- the sword (i think this is the first time i heard them) to the frayed ends of sanity - metallica, who i have not listened to in a long time for various reasons. im gonna say the heavier side of roo is really growing on me even though i was shocked by metallica and never heard of against me! or the sword before. against me! is one of the best bands on the lineup imo after listening to them a little bit. If i go to metallica it will probably be the only band out of the three that i see, but atleast i feel like ive listened to enough of that side of this years bonnaroo that if there are no conflicts/nothing else going on i would watch.
Don't forget Mastodon. They are so heavy it'll crush your skull but there's something actually intelligent going on when they do it. Problem is they need a good sound guy. Live they sound like mud.
