I feel ya brother. I too likes me a little Iron Maiden. I'm not sure Maiden would enjoy 'roo though- Bruce Dickinson may throw a tantrum. Not sure 'roo would be giving him the love he so desperately wants/deserves. Logistically, seeing how many people would be going to see them, I'm not sure they could fit the 3 story Eddie in the Jazz tent. All sarcasm aside...I'd be right there, front and center singing Number of the Beast and Powerslave, with all 15 other 'roo attending Maiden fans....
Maiden is awesome. They might be one band that wouldn't normaly be at 'roo that would get me to come back. Jake from Umphrey's sitting in on Aces High would make my head explode.
One puts on an awesome show...one is just kinda silly (whether the songs are good or not)....I'll give you a hint...the silly ones bring their monster on stage with them.
its totally not a fear of metal....im just not 12 years old and angry at my parents anymore. i mean after you have "had your face kicked in" (somebody on here used that) a few times, doesn't it get a bit old?

I'm not about to try to stir some poopie from my buttocks, but I like do not like Iron Maiden at all... Never have, dunno why... I know they have chops, but to say they have more "talent" than Metallica is recockulous, IMO. I've not heard anything from them that really blew my mind... on top of that, their music sounds very dated, whereas Metallica's 80s output still sounds fresh today.
