The first few bands I ever saw live was a high school band challenge when I was in either 7th or 8th grade - just some local crappy bands, a friend's brother was playing in one of them called The Infected Beavers, the only other band I remember there was Funtime Freddy - I was hooked from that point on the live music setting...
but the first real band I ever saw was none other than...
Metallica - 1997 - Cincinnati, OH - Riverfront Coliseum - Corrosion of Conformity opened - I think it was the Load Tour - I was 16 - part of the set was acoustic - the stage setup was incredible - it took up the whole floor of the arena - I think it was shaped like a guitar or something...
...my second concert is the one I like to think of as the first amazing concert I ever saw - DMB - 1997 - Cincinnati - Los Lobos opened - 20th row, dead center
1985- bon jovi. cinderella opened. that's right! i said it! what?
Karma for even sayinf Cinderella. God how I miss that band. Still get giddy when they pop up on shuffle. (As well as Izzy Stradlin and the Ju-Ju Hounds)
I suppose my first 'concert' was The 'Mats at a club in Charlottesvile. I was way young so I would have to research who opened for them. I didn't care to be honest.
