Whats cool was in 2004 at my first Roo I remembered we were listning to a local TN radio station and I remembered as soon as we pulled off the interstate onto the farm they came on the radio and said "Now its Manditory Metallica"and they played a block of Metallica, back then I would have never imagined them playnig Roo.

I don't know of any other times people played Metallica songs at 'roo other than the very first post on this thread, but it does bring up an interesting point - look to see what bands cover who this year, maybe it points to something 'roo may want to get for the future - the cover songs are part of my favorite part at Bonnaroo

^ I think the above videos of Rob y Gabs set from last year really triggered the beginning of having Metallica being at roo. That crowd went absolutly apeshit during One and rocked out Orion pretty hard core. That set was one of the huge surprises for me and absolutely blew me away. I was to the far right of that stage near the Art of Such and Such.
Makes me remember when the whole crowd sang Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here". It was beautiful and you had to be there.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
