This thread is for everyone else who is as excited as I am that Gogol will be playing Bonnaroo again this year. Nothing on the lineup could have made me as excited as seeing that they will be playing. Theres no way I'm going to be any further back than front row center for their set this year. SHARE THE GOGOL EXCITEMENT.
I do love the Gogol Bordello. I had no idea who they were before bonnaroo 2007. A friend of mine simply told me to make sure I did not miss their set at all cost. I took the advice and was blown away. ( I haven't gone to sleep yet, so my music-zine verbiage isn't in use right now)
And then a few months ago, I dragged my friends to their show when they came through town. They had heard no buzz or any snippet of music to prepare them. They were equally blown away.
When a band impresses you without warning, it's one of the best things in life. Here's a picture I took from bonnaroo 2007.

Me too! I've been a fan for a while so I got there way in advance just to get a good spot and it was so worth it....I was stoked to see they were playing again....they easily have one of the best preformances I've ever seen, and I thought I had seen alot of good shows, but you can definitely be blown away by Gogol
p.s. beecmyk that's an awesome shot, I comend you cause I got alot of shots but they are so hard to get cause everyone in the band moves around so god da**ed much,as a concert goer I love it as a photographer, not so much haha
we'll be there front and center. it's the show i'm most looking forward to. i want to wear a t-shirt that says 'seeing eye bitch'. see if eugene notices it. hehe. ;D
Here's hoping they will still be in a tent. That just added to the party atmosphere. I couldn't see myself goin as crazy as I did last year in the Tennessee sun.

Exactly!! Plus if I'm getting there super early like I did last year I would rather be in the shade of the tent..... although something to think about last year no one expected Gogol to pick up like they did, well the fans knew, but I don't think bonnaroo expected it to be as big of a party as it was, I've heard dozens of people who aren't even fans of Gogol saying it ws easily the best show at roo.... so they might move them to a later show, like in the evening...It would be awesome to not worry about the heat
Along with MMJ, Gogol is what I'm most excited about seeing. I had heard of them, but hadn't listened to more than a couple songs before Bonnaroo last year so I ended up missing their set. I've since become a fan, so I'll definitely be there this year ready to party.
Well...I'm on the comp at work now so I can't add more photos to the battle....but you just wait til I get home....I've photographed them several times....actually, they use my shots on their my space...I'll win this yet....

Aside from missing the Flaming Lips set last year, leaving Gogol Bordello early to catch Ziggy with my friends was probably my second biggest regret of Bonnaroo. Next time I will stick around by myself. Hopefully they get a late night spot this time.

I kick myself for missing this one. I had no clue who they were, but when I saw the photos, I knew I'd missed something big. There is no way I am going to miss this band this year!

I ended up at their show accidentally last year because there was nothing else I wanted to see at that time and they were the closest to where we were at the time......
I had never heard of them but I was absolutely blow away by their live show. Such amazing energy! My daughter is always listening to them in her room because she is hooked after seeing them.

heatheroo if you like the energy of Ghostland Observatory you'll like the energy of Gogol...it's intense, and crazy, and fun.....As long as they don't clash I will see you at both shows(Ghostland and Gogol)

nice beecmyk, I like those...you had to only be a couple people behind me cause the angles are similar.....not that you would have been able to see me cause I'm pretty short....but neat
