i don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet. i think someone said last year when they bought the farm that opened up the possibility of a sun. late night because they won't have to kick people out so quickly. i think if there is a late sun. headliner it will be phil & friends. most of us will already be gone, but i know lots of the old school dead/jam/festie kids would definitely stick around.

Even though they own the land, I don't think they have an incentive to have a Sunday latenight. People are used to leaving, and it would cost them less.
Kudos to you if you think you can still do a latenight on Sunday. Sunday is my chillout and catch 2 or 3 good shows day. Too tired to go all day and night.

i wouldn't do it myself. i have never watched sun. headliner before.

Man that would be awesome. I always get all ansy and not ready to leave sunday evening. But this probably would never happen because people have jobs. But on the other hand, people are on vacation so they could just extend it a little longer. yes to the latter.
it would be amazing!! i'll be out of school and phil lesh playing until the sun comes up on monday morning would be the perfect way to end the festival
I seriously doubt it will happen any time soon. I think we have the established format for years to come. I think that one final, community show is really an important show in the scheme of things. It brings the entire audience together for the last few hours.
The Sunday Headliner/No Late Night embodies the community aspect that is sewn in the very fabric of the festival. It puts us all in one place together, to say "goodbye, and until next year..."
I think we should be looking for a THURSDAY night late night well before they even consider a Sunday Late Night schedule, which I honestly do not see happening as long as Superfly runs the fest.

I can't imagine them ever doing a thursday or sunday latenight. It would just create too much ill will with the locals. Don't forget that while we all are on vacation, the locals may have real jobs to go to on friday and monday mornings. Of course, the same could be said for friday and saturday nights, but weekends are certainly the more forgivable sin.
