I'm quite taken back that he's going to be playing the Roo. All the shows I've seen him at were at bars, small college campuses, or small theaters. He's great. Got a style of his own, although has been compared to Bob Dylan, but I cant really agree. So yes, everybody should check out my hometown boy. He's great!

Bone Clouds is a little different from all of his earlier albums. It is a "grower." I have seen him 7 times. All in small bars and clubs. He has and I think will open for JJ on his tour. His shows a few years ago, imo, were more high energy than now. Him solo is kind of boring. Good music though. He throws in some Rage every now and then.
I've seen him a couple of times, but it has been more than a few years since I really gave him much attention. His self-titled is still the one to beat, imho.

See, I kinda like him alone. Well, I like him in any form. His latest album is different, for obvious reasons, but I like it. He is touring with J.J and some others it seems, but I wouldn't necessarily say his sound his alike. I wonder if J.J plans on doing a US tour?

saw him open up for guster last year. great show. hopefully he'll play super early on friday, saturday, or sunday or thursday would be cool. i'd def. see him again.
I'm really enjoying this album...ep...whatever... If You Need A Reason
The title cut is amazing, and the lyrics throughout are great... I'd quote em, but they're sappy and that's not really how I wanna come off tonight...few more scotches and I'll sing em and post an mp3....

Close your eyes. Picture a convict. What's he wearing? Nothing special, baseball cap on backwards, baggy pants... he says something ordinary like... 'yo, thats shizzle.' Okay. Now slowly open your eyes again. Who are you picturing? A black man? Wrong. That was a white woman. Surprised? Well, shame on you.

No. Completely different. Shooter is Waylon's son and does country-esque music. Mason is more folk-y, from Minnesota, not related to anyone famous that I know of.
