Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
if you have such a fear of them at the roo take it up with the city. I was at woodstock 99 and lola when they played. (and killed both shows) that is why I have told the city my 2 cents.
eather do something or say nothing, you pick. just don't call the cell or home phone numbers, that will make us all look bad.
So did you call her up and say something?
I just sent a fax just dealing with the safty of people at the show. since both headliners have had people killed at there shows. (have seen m 3 times and pj 6 times)
my point was everyone was on the bords bitching but not doing anything. I hate that. it just seams like every one wants to bitch and moan with out action.

I have owned all of there stuff I can find since middle school maybe? (Not St. Anger that one blew) Over half my life I know that. I did go through the hating phase during napster. I still think Lars is a turd. I will say they are one of the most fun bands to see live. I've never walked away from seeing one act and been that tired before.
The folks that are calling them "no-talent assclowns" need there head checked. "assclowns" I'll give you. "No-Talent" I can argue all day long.

Don't forget to mention in your fax that there have been several deaths at Bonnaroo throughout the years as well. I've also heard that there may be druqs and alcohol there too.
You might even want to suggest a stronger police presence at Bonnaroo, just to keep us all in line.
I mean, if you're really all that concerned about public safety, right?
despite the lineup, love it or hate, its still OUR roo and Lars cant change that. Personally i think its big nuts on their side for wanting to play ye olde roo. So kudos to them I think(?).but i digress. its our Roo, lets treat it the same and show the metal kids that we can get down too, make them feel welcome. (remember the tool kids?)

Ugh. Metallica is playing a couple of hours at Bonnaroo...they're not assuming control of the planet! Geez, I don't even like them and all this negativity is making me want to stand up for their right to be there and the right of people who like them to enjoy them. I've tried to remain positive, but some people clearly need to get a grip on how inconsequential this really is in the overall scheme of things.

lol point taken. but drugs you say? I've never seen drugs at a roo yet. and i have been to all of them that didn't have DMB as a headliner.
I'm not at all a Metallica fan, but I like the sentiment of giving them a chance. I'll check out there show, but I'll be sitting in my lawn chair way in the back taking it all in.
I don't know if Metallica is the sort of band to have guests on stage, but if they do I would say Warren Haynes is most likely. James Hetfield did record an alternate version of "Driving Rain" with Gov't Mule and the guys in Metallica are known as being big fans of Warren.
Someone else just pointed out in another thread - don't know if it is correct or not - but supposedly Les Claypool is friends with Kirk Hammett so that opens the possiblility of Les jumping up there if Bonnaroo books Les Claypool

So I listened to those Metallica albums I bought last night, and Metallica quacking rocks. I am so psyched for them now it's unreal (as long as they play early stuff live). Also, I'm sure they will be playing quite a bit of their tracks from their new Rick Rubin produced album.
Attornaroo, heres two very early ideas for new songs on the 08' album. I think they're pretty good.

All I know is Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning are awesome! As l long as they play Creeping Death or Welcome Home Sanitarium I'll be just fine.
Now if I can only find my Metal Up Your Ass t-shirt...
