Zeppelin or no Zeppelin, i couldn't be happier about this lineup. I can't believe how diverse and inspired some of these artists on the lineup are. I wasn't sure if was gonna volunteer or pay for tix (or not go altogether). But now i know, I HAVE to go! And I can't do volunteering because there are so many amazing bands my heart would break in to if i had to miss even more than the eventual conflicts will bring...
I'll be the first to say...THANK YOU SUPERFLY!!!!!!
(lets just hope the Metallica crowd can stay civil...)
I'm glad you started this. I am happy and really excited for June. I'm not a Metallica fan by any means but I really like almost all of the rest of the lineup. Plus, roo is always a great time.
Best lineup ever with Zep, still pretty damn good without them. It'll be interesting to see who Phil's friends are. I love Metallica, and couldn't be happier that they're there. Without a doubt I think the best show, especially without Zep, but maybe even with them onboard, will be Sigur Ros. Bonnaroo would be making a huge mistake if they didn't give them a latenight slot. Sigur Ros latenight would be legendary.
yeah Metallica on there makes me a tiny weary, but I don't think the vibe will be affected much at all.
here's who i'm looking forward to seeing!!!
Pearl Jam Jack Johnson Kanye West Robert Plant & Alison Krauss My Morning Jacket The Raconteurs Willie Nelson Death Cab for Cutie B.B. King Sigur Ros The Bluegrass Allstars Feat. Luke Bulla, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer and Bryan Sutton M.I.A. Umphrey's McGee Iron & Wine Yonder Mountain String Band Swell Season Talib Kweli Gogol Bordello Broken Social Scene Rilo Kiley Mastodon Lupe Fiasco Against Me! Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings Drive-By Truckers !!! The Avett Brothers Abigail Washburn & the Sparrow Quartet featuring Bela Fleck Jose Gonzalezr Battles Jakob Dylan The Sword Vampire Weekend Black Kids
Bonnaroo Comedy: Bonnaroo Late Night Chat About with David Cross Zach Galifianakis Brian Posehn
Please please please have latenight sets for Gogol Bordello, MMJ and Sigur Ros!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love to rock, I love to jam, I love to groove, I love to laugh, and I love to dance. I think the lineup will accommodate those needs so therefore I LOVE the lineup.

Outstanding lineup, in my mind the best through and through ever. My only complaint is that there are too many great What Stage acts, and I never feel like the What Stage is intimate enough.

woo bonnaroo!
i think some people are focusing too much on whos not there and who they dont want to see. if everyone on the list was someone you wanted to see you would be missing a lot it. you cant see everything anyways so focus on who you do want to see. phil lesh, allman bros, robert plant, mmj, levon helm, death cab, umps mcgee, minus the bear etc are who i am excited about.

Personally love the lineup, and I really think that Metallica will give an inspired performance. Just think about it: Rick Ruben is producing the new album (which from what I heard he is trying to pull out the Master of Puppets Metallica instead of the 90's Metallica), they know that the crowd is very smart and even though a lot of people will not admit it they were probably fans of them when they were younger, and they can fill the full 3 hour set easily (dont get me started on possible guests, Les Claypool will be an addition and I think he would be exstatic to slap the bass on the main stage with Metallica.
Also, the rest of the lineup (other than Kanye, hopefully he changes my mind though) is primo. Even if you despise Metallica, the rest of the lineup is strong enough to make this the all around best lineup. Additions I think will be STS9, Primus (or another one of his bands), Mars Volta, and a few more surprises. Also the people that are bashing Mastadon, have you ever listened to them. They are not wrist slashers and are probably one of the best metal bands out right now. Just because they are not as Jam friendly as they used to be, doesnt mean that this is going to be an awful roo.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
Pearl Jam Kanye West My Morning Jacket Willie Nelson B.B. King The Bluegrass Allstars Feat. Luke Bulla, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck, Edgar Meyer and Bryan Sutton Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi's Soul Stew Revival Mastodon Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings Drive-By Truckers !!! Battles
Deep, eclectic lineup that will make for an amazing music festival.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
Great Line Up!! I mean Sigur Ros and Broken Social Scene are Ridiculous!! I thin it would be SO funny if they cut off ticket sales the day before and then go...Oh yeah Led Zeppelin IS coming!!! and than slam the door in the face of the people who didnt get tix. The Line up is solid! I had a puzzled look on my face and my heart kinda sank when i saw Metallica but hopefully what they do is put MMJ at a late night set on friday when metallica plays and we can all sit and wait for MMJ. But then again if Pearl Jam is on Saturday i think that they would put em before Pearl Jam so we can see some collabos!!
I am thankful for: Pearl Jam Sigor Ros Allman Brothers Battles Metallica (yes, I'm going to be completely positive in regards to this.) Plant and Krausse BB King Willie Nelson The prospect of additions Zach Galifinakis David Cross Brian Posehn
There are only 71 music acts, by my count...I think we're in for some good additional rounds this year...
I totally agree. This years lineup so far has about 17 lines on the artists page on bonnaroo.com, last years i think had double that (that includes all the cafe aritsts, jazz artists, and guest speakers that still need to be added on top of additional mainstage and tent acts to be added) looks like we got some more to look forward to!

Most excited about:
Pearl Jam Jack Johnson * Kanye West My Morning Jacket Allman Brothers * Phil and Friends * Plant and Krauss* B.B. King * Willie Nelson Sigur Ros * Ben Folds Death Cab for Cutie Rilo Kiley* Iron and Wine Yonder Mountain String Band* The Swell Season* Talib Kweli* Broken Social Scene!!! * Drive By Truckers Avett Brothers* Ladytron* Dark Star Orchestra* Vampire Weekend*
I'm happy with the line up but really wish they didn't waste spots on Metallica and Jack Johnson. Tool wass innovative and trippy. Metallica is just old and washed up. I watched footage of their 2006 Rock Am Ring show and it failed to amaze me. The heavy metal acts should have stopped there. I won't whine about it anymore though. Cheers for Pearl Jam, My Morning Jacket, The Raconteurs and The Avett Brothers.

If people are all pissed about the headliners...then don't go to the show! I only went to Tool last year and it was the greatest weekend of my life. I don't see the logic of a band someone doesn't like playing on the premises as a reason to not go see all the other spectacular acts that are going to be there.
