that show was phenomenal! i was dancing my ass off in the front! would LOVE to see the cat empire come back to the farm!! that was definitely the best show thursday night in '06. devotchka right after them was amazing as well.

My very first Bonnaroo thursday was a great day, just the excitement building up while waiting in line and setting up camp, then spending the rest of the afternoon walking around with our Roo Neighbours checking out all the sweet vendors outside of Centeroo. And then when the gates finally opened, going inside and just being consumed by the general awesomeness, started the concerts off with David Gray's set, then most of Matt Costa's until we ventured on over to the dance party that was Cat Empire!!! It was at that concert I realized Bonnaroo truly is the greatest place on earth. I wish I would have stayed for Devotchka but alas I was not aware of them at the time. Would love to see them on this year's line up along with Cat Empire!!!
Seriously, If I wasn't a guy I'd have a love affair with every member of that band! 06 was the first time I'd ever heard them and what a freaking show! I've since bought all their albums I can find and listen to them weekly. They make music that touches the soul. I'd die of happiness if they made an appearance.
