Who else has heard the new album and who thinks they could blow the roof off a late night tent? They played a day show last year that I didn't attend out of ignorance, but they seem tailor made for a late night set.
Doesn't it piss you off when you discover a band after they played Roo the previous year? This year has been the worst, with my recent infatuations with Spoon, Hot Chip, and The Hold Steady. Which has the best chance of a repeat?

I'm pretty sure I caught like 15-20 min of hot chip last year. They were pretty cool, but not worry of a latenight gig. Those spots are for very special bands.

YES. It makes me very mad!! But I did actually see hot chip last year. But the band that i started liking after roo was kings of leon. really mad i missed them!
I was thinking they could play an hour and a half at the smaller late night tent. I'd defidently put them on par with the likes of Girl Talk or Lyrics Born who have played the last two years. I agree that they don't deserve a full late night slot like STS9, Flips, Mule, Galactic, MMJ, etc.

I haven't heard the entire new album yet, but have heard a few songs from it and love it so far. Will be going to pick up a copy tomorrow. Saw their set last year and was like 5 ft from the stage. Awesome show and wasn't too big of a fan before then. I bought their album the warning about 2 months before bonnaroo and was just getting into them. Now they're one of my favorite bands and am going to see them in April in Chicago. Oh, and I definitely think they are worthy of a late night spot. And like the poster above said they don't deserve a full on late night. However, I'd love to see something like this: Justice > Hot Chip > LCD Soundsystem. That'd make for one hella late night!
after reading this thread last night and today, i went and bought the new cd (Made in the Dark).....now im not to big into electronica, i do like it somewhat. but i must say this a pretty impressive group, i really dig the album and will prob be picking up another one of there albums later this week, any suggestions? and must say i really hope they are at roo this year peace

I would get The Warning. Coming On Strong is also good but I find myself listening to Warning more often.
