what if pj headlined 2 nights? if any band could do it i think it would be pearl jam. i know wsp is the only bad that has done it so far. i think it would be great. 2 nights of pearl jam and finish it off with led zeppelin.

i don't think PJ will headline two nights. i don't think we'll see anyone doing two nights again, unless its someone huge/epic. Don't get me wrong I enjoy PJ, but two nights?
Oh that might have been a little harsh, but I'll go into a little deeper.
To me, (JUST MY OPINION) their Lolla set was, what seemed to be, a struggle. There was a lot of political/world issue filler, and at one point had like 40 people on stage performing (maybe, I wasn't close enough to be able to tell)
And everyone says a Roo headliner is supposed to do something different from the average headlining set. Having them play 2 headlining sets would be tough considering a headlining set is usually longer than 1.5-2 hours..
They could have one set be pure music, and the other be political beliefs and bullshit.
That really annoyed me at Lolla this year, the song that went something about not buying gas from a certain retailer, Blah blah blah bullshit..
there will definitely be political statements made. but there will also be lots of great music. they could play 2 nights without repeating a song, actually they could probably play 4 or 5.

oh you're definitely wrong. pj shows almost always go over 2 hr. sometimes over 3. they can do it easily.

Tom Petty played, like, 3 and a half hours. Any band that can only play 90 minutes shouldn't be headlining anything.

Unless it's Zeppelin.
zeppelin or floyd 2 nights would be even better, but not at all likely to happen.
Dark Side Wish You Were Here Animals (with the ginormous pig) then close the festival with The Wall.
Dude, Bonnaroo totally has to hire me to book their acts. This is a million dollar idea right here.
what about the earlier material?
Well, none of those albums is long enough by itself to be a headlining set (or even close). So fill in around them with some Atom Heart Mother, Piper, Ummagumma, Meddle, etc.
Hey, Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better.
And any time you feel the pain, Hey Jude, refrain. Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. Well don't you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder.
i have respect for them but they arn't the most exciting band.... i'd feel like i was getting ripped off. let's face it... their most popular song is a cover.

Personally, I don't want any 1 band to headline 2 nights.....I like having 3.

They always keep the headliner sets short at lolla because its in the middle of the city. You're lucky if you get a 2 hour headliner there.

Pearl Jam generally plays for close to 3 hours, 20+ songs at their concerts. If they played 2 nights, it would be a lot of the same stuff from the night before. No way they get two nights. Now maybe Eddie Vedder playing a second night with another headliner like Neil Young or something, I could go for that.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
