This man came up to me just the other day, asked me I'd been born again. I told him, "I didn't think I had." That I had been rejected. But I think, Hell's got all the good bands anyway. And Bonnaroo.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

^^^ Maybe it was in your phrasing?
Actually I remember that thread, and I'll say what I said then: they are so very different live than on their albums, that people might be surprised in a negative way, and not dig it. I like them live, but I'm cautious about them being at Bonnaroo. Also, I think Strawberry Jam is good but not as good as "Feels" or "Sung Tongs".

^^^I'd say it's almost like seeing a DJ live, or a house artist like Daft Punk-- it's the same philosophy. They tend to have long stretches of apparently free-form music in which they might drop into a studio track, or piece of one, here and there, but it will continue to be rather altered. They definitely do not play their songs in a set, isolated order, like most bands.
Here's a good quality show of theirs, from NPR's "All Songs Considered" live concert podcast series (free, of course):

Both Animal Collective and Panda Bear had albums that were on a lot of the Best of 2007 lists. We generally see a nice handful of these bands at Bonnaroo. Here are some from Paste's Top 100 Best of 2007 list, that I think could play Bonnaroo this year:
Modest Mouse Band of Horses Iron & Wine Avett Brothers Josh Ritter Ted Leo & the Pharmacists Blonde Redhead Jens Lekman LCD Soundsystem Black Lips Patty Griffin The Shins Of Montreal Andrew Bird PJ Harvey Bright Eyes Peter, Bjorn & John Norah Jones Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings Justice Battles The Frames Thurston Moore Fionn Regan Broken Social Scene Kate Nash Broken West Joseph Arthur Explosions in the Sky Animal Collective Apples in Stereo Josh Rouse Beirut Okkervil River New Pornographers Deerhoof Deerhunter White Rabbits Devendra Banhart Fratellis Suzanne Vega The Good, The Bad & The Queen Arctic Monkeys Dinosaur Jr. Fiery Furnaces Stars
late night AC would have a pretty neat atmosphere....i'd love to see them be added, they don't seem like they'd be there imo though. don't knw why i guess...

Many of the bands on that list would be excellent additions to bonnaroo! of Montreal, yes please!
I saw Of Montreal last year at Freebird Live in Jax Beach, FL with Loney Dear and Pidgeon John. It was a good show and I look forward to seeing them again whenever I can.
Just as long as it's not Ariel Pink. Geezus. Saw him after "Haunted Graffiti" came out and it kind of disturbed me. Not that it was bad by anymeans. Just disturbing.
