yea...i overexaggerated a little bit...however i would take the 1.4 seconds of paramore over the 2 or so minutes i listened to volta..i just can't get into them...ive tried multiple times, but idk..not for me

If that's the Mars Volta, please bring them to Bonnaroo. Like I've been saying, the thing I need most this year is fewer conflicts.

I always thought that part of the whole Mars Volta "thing" was that as times they are unlistenable....I think they do it on purpose....like Lou Reed's "Metal Machine Music"....I love Francis the Mute.....but come on....some of the stuff they've done is just awful.
speaking of letterman .... in the related videos there was an old video of At The Drive In...
look how Omar and Cedric are all excited to be playing and then look at the other band members! cedric and omar make the whole band... the other guys just look bored, even their head banging is mediocre...
Cedric sounded a little off during this performance, but Holy F*cking Christ, TP, (the drummer) is an absolute madman. He's insanely talented. I really hope they are at the farm. I mentioned this in the 29 page "Give us the Mars Volta" thread.

While the drummer was a godd**n BEAST, the rest of the band just seemed... off. Cedric especially. I mean, I think I'm one of the few people who likes pretty much everything The Mars Volta has done prior to this. What I saw on Letterman, however.. that was pretty terrible.
I haven't heard any of the new album yet, but if that's what I have to expect... eek, not looking too forward to TMV's future releases.

I think the Mars Volta have been losing it lately. Amputecture just didn't do anything for me, and I'm a little weary about the new album. They used to be one of my favorite bands, but as of the last couple years, they've definitely had a decline in music quality.
