So who thinks that Al Green and Donovan Leitch should make there bonnaroo debut, plus i think a late night tent animal collective show would be awesome, or panda bear, either one would be the nuts.... and as much as Dylan's voice has gone ca put, his o4 show was absolutely amazing.....i would also really love to see M.Ward make a return to the farm, his 05 show was ridiculous. sorry for the rant I'm just way too excited for the lineup to come so I'm wasting away the hours, there is a crap load of bands that i think would be perfect for roo, I'm just stuck in a confused state at the moment, so ill get back to the rest of them. let me know what you dooders think?

anothere really great band that i think would be cool for the roo is the Super Furry Animals, and im pretty sure that they are on tour, so its possible.

I wouldn't mind seeing M. Ward. He is amazing. <----- I saw him at Park West, solo, I am sure you were there lajonathanme. If you haven't seen this yet, check it out.

thunderdan, i was not at the M.Ward show at Park West, but i wish i was, Park west is by far my favorite venue to see a show at, i saw Bob Dylan there like 3 years ago and it was amazing.... but on another note im kind of disapointed that noone else thinks that the bands i mentioned would be great for the roo, especialy donovan, he was like sultan of the beatnick hippie era, songs like hurdy gurdy man and sunshine superman would be great, a nice mid afternoon set in the sun and wind, but whatever, i guesse im in a world of my own then. peace.
I am definitely with you on Donovan. I wish I was around in the 60s and 70s so I could have seen him in his prime. I love his trippy work, but I'm a huge fan of his early folk songs as well. Summer Day Reflection Songs is a great compilation of his early stuff. I really would love to see him but he hardly ever comes out of the UK.
I was personally thinking that Al was gonna make an apperance several years ago, after that last album came out. Would love to have him there. Was never a big Donavan fan but alot of people were/are and think he would fit great at Bonnaroo.Maybe in the David Bromberg slot of last year.

yeah last i heard about Al Green was that he was doing an album with questlove, and i totally thought that he was gunna show up last year, but he didnt, im really hoping we get him this year.
Donovan had a bit of a resurgence last year. He's apparently working on a multimedia album, so if he did do a festival like Bonnaroo, you could expect some interesting visuals.

The whole m.ward, gillian welch, bright eyes, jim james super acoustic show still always comes to mind when i think of how Bonnaroo could get me to show up with one set alone!

yes donovan is due for a new album, he said he was working on one back in 2006, and he has yet to release it, but a visually stimulating donovan set would be amazing, and as for al green, all al green is aweseom, but as long as he played love and happiness i would be uber happy. and the m.ward jim james thing, i saw those two a couple of years back and it was outstanding.
