last year before the line up came out people were saying The Police were going to headline, then a whole list came out of who else would be performing. And it was all right!
So tell me people .. where are you getting your information from? And are we gonna be hearing any "guesses" for the 08 lineup soon?

There were three or four FAKE lineups that appeared a month or so before the actual announcement. These tended to be at most 20% correct. The real lineup was leaked only two days before the announcement date, by our own BonnarooDetective. So, don't expect to see the real lineup anytime before then. As for individual leaks, those tend to be discovered a couple months beforehand, and they tend to be minor acts. I'd say last year the biggest leaked name was Ween. And as for the headliners... well, lots of people were guessing The Police because it was just so reasonable. Lots of Coachella people were convinced they'd be getting The Police, too, and they were also reasonable. That's all I can really say about that.

Yeah..the "leaks" won't start for another three months. And if I remember correctly, The Police were supposed to play Coachella, Pearl Jam and Bob Dylan were supposed to play Bonnaroo, Smashing Pumpkins were supposed to headline Lollapalooza, and Neil Young and Stevie Wonder were supposed to headline ACL. The rumors miss more often than they hit. And it doesn't take a genius to look at headliner level acts' tour schedules and start to put together a rumor that they might play this fest or that fest. In other words, don't believe the hype. At least, not if it's on wikipedia...

Wikipedia is the best thing ever. Anyone in the world can write anything they want about any subject, so you know you are getting the best possible information.

I don't think Ween leaked before the big leak. I follow their scedule pretty closely, and I recall being surprised (and thrilled) when I saw their name on the leak the day before.

Actually, you're right. When I was remembering back, I was getting leaked artists (pre-announcement) confused with leaked set times (post-announcement). In actuality, probably the biggest leaked artist was The Hold Steady.
