Probably the best interview/article I have read that showcases the singer. It answers a lot of questions that people have of him and tool. Do yourself a favor and read this if you are at all interested in Tool/Maynard/Puscifer/APC.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

Dudes a character that is all I can say, but I have a lot of respect for him because he doesnt confrom for anyone or anything. Personally I would love to see them do a theatre tour (Ryman would be an ideal location as long as the morons stay at home).

great interview, Im still recieving my free spin. They told me a couple issues ago that the free stuff was over but they keep coming. Oh well, pretty decent mag. imo
you know, puscifer does have the new cd coming out. i am a huge fan of a perfect circle and tool, but i dont know about this 'v is for vagina' sh/t...it looks like a huge kind of smart @ss joke to me, something definitely expected from keenan. but, what i am getting at, is maynard has been at bonnaroo before...could he bring a side project with him this year??
my favorite line is... "I don't have any talent," he says. "I'm just a dumbass. I mean, I can put a couple of words together, but I'm not Stephen Hawking; it's not that kind of stuff. But people are treating it like it is."
i dig getting the free subscription, even though it comes in about 3 weeks later than it should. i love how it says, please send money in by a date that has passed 2 weeks ago... :-)

The album has been out since October - I pre-ordered and had it within ddays - and it is really awesome - unlike Tool and A Perfect Circle but the Maynard in it still comes out - it is on my list of top favorites.
Tool played last year and I am pretty sure that is the only time Maynard has been to Bonnaroo - I would not look for him to return - truthfully - he caused alot of hassle with his ego crap
I always enjoy reading about Maynard. He is just an interesting guy... But I can't believe that no one else has commented on the fact that in the article Maynard says there will be no more A Perfect Circle albums. This is very depressing. They are one of my favorite bands. Surely I am not the only one who thinks so.
If the words 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness' don't include the right to experiment with your own consciousness, then the Declaration of Independence isn't worth the hemp it was written on.

Definitely agreed, APC is one of my favs. Mer De Noms is a great album, and i would recommend it to anyone.
