Sorry to hear that-- Bonnaroo was the only place I planned on seeing them, but I feel sorry for people that aren't going to get to see them. What about Jack and the drummer from the Raconteurs finishing the tour? I don't think that would upset too many people. I like Meg White, but I would gladly to see Jack White/Raconteurs drummer. Although, Meg and Jack have a chemistry that makes their performances all that much better.

the chemistry is definitely what makes the live performances what they are. they feed off of each other. patrick keeler (the raconteurs drummer) has a completely different style and i don't think it would work.
something is definitely going on, they wouldn't cancel a tour just days after announcing some new shows.

Something isn't right......
Too bad for ACL attendees.
There were enough people there who flew specifically for the Stripes, especially those with Saturday only tix. I've seen them 2 times already in 2007 and wasn't that disappointed that they cancelled... actually, having experienced the weekend now, I don't think they really fit the vibe. They would've been great I'm sure, but i have zero complaints (and I am a HUGE fan.) Actually I'm happy that they didn't get they chance to upstage anyone. AND, although there were bummed people, the ones I talked to had a great time regardless. Seriously, I hope to post a review later, but bottom line, Austin sure does know how to put on a music festival. The most relaxing and mellow- yet ROCKIN' weekend I've had in years. I really can't get over how truly amazing everything was... I actually can't come up with ANYTHING at all that could have improved upon my weekend. Best weekend ever??? If not, it sure does come close. 5 out of 5 stars to ACL *****
