I have to say that they were in my top 3 performances of Bonnaroo. There was so much energy in that small little tent between the band and crowd. Plus Eugene crowd surfing on the drum was epic.

Yes indeed I did at the suggestion of my daughter's friend. We sat and got a good spot and then ended up staying through the whole show it was so good. I had never heard of them and I was blown away by the energy they put into their show - almost as much fun as the Lips show!
I passed out then. I dunno if it was heat stroke or what.. but I was out.. Fortunately...
1. I met them all in the media area by kind of a weird introduction. (They were rolling a joint and asked me if i wanted some.. I didn't even recognize them at first)

I saw the first 30 minutes which rocked, but my friends wanted to leave to see Ziggy Marley where we sat outside for 20 minutes doing nothing before he came on. I should have stayed cuz I missed start wearing purple and him crowd surfing on the drum. I did get some good footage of Not A crime though which is here. video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7148669504240381891&hl=en
This was also one of my top 3 shows of the weekend. I was debating on either Regina and Gogol, and I am happy with the decision I made :-) Here are some of the better pics I took of the show:
What a great show. So great, I'm getting tickets to see them in Cleveland in July. Should be amazing seeing them in a small venue like that!
I loved them, my boyfriend loved them, everyone in the crowd was having a great time! I think my boyfriend has gypsy in his genes (according to a grandma), so he got in touch with his roots. lol.
I feel like this band is a bit of a reincarnation of old school 80's punk rock. I can see why they call their genre "gypsy punk". and the crowd surfing was just awesome!
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
"...well yeah the guitar is good accompaniment but you can't like compose with it; I mean you can't base a whole song around the guitar." -Bob Dylan 1965
I have their album (borrowed from my sister) and love listening to it - was a bit intimidated at the thought of seeing them close up (and LOUD). So I missed this show, but in looking at the pictures and video from it I will be sure to go next month (with my sister) when they play Chicago.
Dang. I was at GB until right before they played Start Wearing Purple. We weren't in the tent so it was too friggin hot and we left to get some food/water. So I missed the drum surfing!
well, you ask me why i'm drunk all the time it levels my head and eases my mind i just walk along and stroll and sing i see better days and i do better things

Think locally, fuck globally!!!
"We're Gogol Bordello, your new friends!"
I loved the show... thought it was alot of fun and really lively for being in the middle of the sweltering afternoon heat. I can see why the show is always a crowd favorite.
