Talk about a lucky shot. Black really acted like a professional... first he reacted like what the f*** just happened. Then he turned it into a joke. Before he gets hit in the head he says " I was asked to sing up here... what the f***... there are no words to the song" then he gets hit in the head.... He pauses and looks stunned then says "this was supposed to be a 30 second bit"... "you do not throw sh*t even if you do not liike something".... "you are going to pay a** h***"... "I am now going to sing" Very funny.

Not funny that he got hit in the head (I thougth that was very rude myself). Black was funny. He couldn't have made that situation any better. For those there was I the only one laughing my ass of at Black?

Guess I misunderstood. I agree Black handled it well.
He is sooo funny. I loved his set we saw and glad we went. Was anyone else here at the 2nd show on Thurs. night? I was wondering if anyone else felt that the 2nd guy to go on..small, balding white guy..cannot even remember his name....was really out there? I don't think he was kidding when he said he was on something.

Yeah i was there; it was awesome. 'Cept for Lynn Koplitz who just made me sad cause she sucked so much. I think the balding white guy was named John Bowman. and yeah ive seen many comedy shows in which th performer claims to be fucked up but this guy really semed like he ws whacked on something. It ws funny as hell.

My freinds at the show told me about this. I dont think I would have handled it like he did because I would have been pissed, but I guess you have to see the humor in everything (and the humor in the people around you)

I just listened to it (didn't get to see it as I was at the FLips). Lewis Black was so pissed but maintained enough composure and came off as hilarious. I love it.
But seriously, whoever did throw that has damn fine aim... and I agree with Black, that person is one big (ocksucker

I was at a concert in LA, and the band was having an off night, and some people in the audience started throwing tomatoes at the band. Now who would throw tomatoes at the band? That's bad. But who would bring a tomato to a show? That's worse. Don't throw tomatoes at the band. What if they really like tomatoes? They'll think you're enjoying the show. "You guys are great - here's a tomato!" The tomato is the universal sign for not enjoying a performance. Plus I like it on sandwiches! I had the guy at Subway put tomatoes on my sandwich because I didn't like the way he was making it. I don't know what that meant there. That was ad-libbed.
