It was an intense show. The crowd was packed like sardines up front and when the playe Booze Me Up at the encore everyone went apeshit. This was my 11th ween show since 2001 and they still play something I've never heard them play every time. A great afternoon. Next time they need another late night.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

i got sprayed with acid by some rad girl who then proceeded to do some indian seduction dance on me and made me fall in love. sick fucking set too. top 5 all weekend.
ditto that set was unbelievable.. hadn't seen ween in 4 years and i regret waiting that long.
deaner 4uckin slayed.. wailed and wailed and wailed it was glorious.
i was in the middle of the tent.. maybe you remember me..? someone to the left of was screaming: do you know who you're 4ucking dealing with man? and i replied quite loudly YOU'RE DEALIN WITH THE 4UCKIN STALLION MANG! than i had a good laugh while everyone turned around to look at the loud jackass (me).
best show all weekend.. i was glowing and damning my idiot friends for seeing Franz Ferdinand instead of the almighty ween. only that chestnut guy who played with the roots came close to the wail of thy deaner.
Ween was awesome, per usual. I felt like this was their second best Bonnaroo performance, behind 04 but in front of 02. It also wasn't quite on the level of the show I saw in Oxford in May. Ween in a bar vs Ween at a festival is two entirely different animals altogether. It's hard to compare the two other than the fact it's the same band on stage. Frank was really f*ckin good though. And Ween just owns all around so this was for sure in my top 5 of this Bonnaroo.
And yes, Fiesta is a blast live. I love the breaks they do. Just a fun, danceable, aptly named, party tune.
The only thing I could've asked for from the show was for it to be at night. I think if they had played this same setlist at night, it surely would have been a tad better, but what can you do? Next year perhaps.
