I figure this would be the best place for this, so my review of the June 5, Greenville, SC show:
Absolutely Amazing. Melt Banana (whom Ive listened to and hated on record) were actually pretty enjoyable. After about a half-hour break, Tool came out and everyone went crazy.
Setlist:
Jambi Stinkfist (extended) Forty-Six & Two Schism (extended w/Danny solo) Rosetta Stoned (Lost Key intro) Flood (HOLY nuts.) Wings For Marie/10,000 Days Lateralus (w/drummer from Melt Banana) Vicarious
(-) Ions was in there at some point as well too, but I dont really remember where. probably before Lateralus.
It was definitely better than the first time I'd seen them. Better setlist, better visuals, and then band was sooooooo much more into it. Maynard looked to be really enjoying himself. He was very talkative (for Maynard, that is). He liked to do this little swaying dance, almost like riding an invisible bronco or something. It was pretty entertaining. Highlights of the evening: 46&2 (which eveyone went crazy for), Wings For Marie/10,000 Days...which is just amazing through-and-through....and FLOOD. Flood was a complete suprise and a definite rarity. It was really fantastic. I was on the floor surrounded by people who had gotten tool navy presale tickets and when they started up with Flood, it was just a great collective "HOLY nuts!".
Anyway, absolutely fantastic show. The visuals were like nothing I'd seen before. Probably the best show Ive sen from any band. I'm looking verrrrrrrry foreward to next Friday.
And then I'll be seeing them again in Huntington, WV on 7-7-07 =D
"They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon."

THIS is what a concert is ALL about!
The show was awesome. Maynard was in a GREAT mood. a Few maynardism's
'South Carolina'
something about his step dad being in hartsville and if we see him punch him in the face for him.
he introduced the melt banana guy during lateralus.
at the end... It was great playing for us, we were really a great crowed, but they had go to, hotel porn..priorities, and thanks for our great hospilitality.
Every song was spot on, the crowd went NUTS during after and before everysong. which seemed to egg on some of the maynard dancing. Towards the end of the concert hell adam started even grooving. That there amazed me. The energy was great. Danny is a machine and never broke a sweat until after the intermission. Just was grooving the entire time. I was so close I could make out facial features!
There was NO moshing or rushing the stage, no flashing of cameras. Only a few drunken dipshits here and there which security handled quite well.
My personal favorite highlights of the show were Jambi, and Lateralus, and Vicarious. He never missed a lyric, except during WINGS it seemed he got a bit choked up on spit or maybe emotion and had to cut a couple lyrics early. I was so expecting him to let the crowd sing the ending of vicarious but completely blown away when he finished, even screaming. They threw water bottles and a frisbee to the crowd which the crowd went nuts for. They stayed and egged on the crowds cheering for a few, and leaving 1 by 1. Maynard first. Danny last.
it was great. Worth the 2 hour drive, and everything.

Well...from the main stage to whatever tent they're playing in. I don't know where the tents will be situated, but if it's the tent I'm thinking. It's the closest one to the main stage...maybe....10 to 15 minutes?

no, i just found out it is the furthest tent from the main stage. hell of a walk, but it must be done.
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
