Who is excited for this?
I sure am, maybe I am just a perv but I love burlesque shows ( and I have never been able to see one live!) and I love the pin-up style culture. I think this will be a lot of fun Thursday night after Black Angels.
I hope to catch it on Sunday at the 4 time slot since It think I may have some time there. I have alwasy wanted to catch a Burlesque show and now I may have a chance!

I suspect that the show isn't going to be terribly pervy. I base this solely on the fact that they're performing in Tennessee in a venue open to minors. That doesn't mean I might not check it out if it fits in my schedule somewhere. San Francisco has plenty of venues that leave nothing to the imagination and it would be kind of refreshing to see something at the other end of the spectrum. Who knows. I may develop a pervy fetish for attractive women dancing with their clothes on.

Im planning on checking it out. Thursday night is my night to hit up the brooers tent and get nice and tipsy... just nothing too out of hand, so I can survive friday's late night (and the rest of the weekend for that matter)
"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio." -Hunter S. Thompson
I've seen a few burlesque shows here in Minneapolis. Generally, burlesque is more of a 'tease' so I doubt there will be an age limit. They aren't like modern day strippers, although the girls sometimes get naked. But in those cases, you can't actually 'see' them - only their shadow or their silhouette through a screen.
Anyway, I like the pin-up style culture too, and I think a burlesque striptease is way more stimulating than going to a strip club and watching a skanky naked chick. But I'm a girl, so maybe that's just me.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and I'm definitely going to be at Miss Lolly Pop's show!
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
There's more mystery and class that goes into pinup then there is with a g-string and DJ. And a banker who just got off work and is doing the motorboat next to you.
"You motor boatin son of a bitch. YOU OLD SAILOR YOU!" -Vince Vaugn; Wedding Crashers.
