what a set...now hopefully something along those lines combined with Copeland getting The Police to jam out a little, seems like we'll be seeing a pretty kicking show

over at 'thepolicetour.com' on the message boards someone posted a link to download last sunday nite's show (the first show back, for 4000 fan club members) i got it and man do they sound great!! i have only listened to about half so far and i'm a little torn about whether to listen to the rest because i want to be surprised at Bonnaroo. some of the songs are rearranged. they are playing the big hits but they are being twisted by seasoned pros who like to jam in various styles. but it all sounds like THE POLICE!!!

Interesting order of the songs being played. I hope that somehow "Demolition Man" shows up on their Bonnaroo setlist, as the great Afroman once said that would just flip my pancake
"Stealing? How could you?! Haven’t you learned anything from that guy who gives those sermons at church? Captain What’s-his-name? We live in a society of laws. Why do you think I took you to all those Police Academy movies? For fun? Well, I didn’t hear anybody laughin’, did you? Except at that guy who made sound effects. Where was I? Oh yeah -- stay out of my booze."
One thing to think about though is that Stewart has said in two different major interviews that for Bonnaroo they're going to do something totally different....both times he mentioned playing "five songs for thirty minutes each"
While it would be cool to see something so unique....I think I'd be missing too many songs I wanted to hear to not be just a little upset over it.

Thoughts?
I've actually been really into the Police recently, and although I agree with you about missing too many songs, I think the ones that we would hear for those thirty minute jams would be so good and it would be so unique, that it wouldn't matter to me. Plus, I doubt we hear only 5 songs at thirty minutes a pop. I think they'll do some more, attempting to appease all fans, but a few thrity minute ones would be pretty cool.
I recently read an article where Copeland said he would love to just take like 5 songs and jam with them for like 30 mins. each. Perform them like they have never been performed before. I don't see that totally happening, but I do think the set list will be different from the other concerts they are doing.
