So with 2005's crazy late night set, and the awesome Galactic party at Langerado this spring, this has the makings of wild night. They had a day set at Langerado and even in 90 degree heat it was clearly a crowd favorite for the weekend with crazy dancing and jumping around. Add in the long list of special guests and this could be pretty epic.
I haven't seen too much love thrown their way for the latenight at roo so far so I thought I would throw my hat in the ring and claim this to be a sleeper favorite.
Saturday late night is gonna be pure Hell... but it'll be the most fun Hell will ever be.
this is EXACTLY how i feel about both saturday AND friday night. heaven and hell, rolled into one big musical love spliff.
You know that it would be untrue You know that I would be a liar If I was to say to you Girl, we couldn't get much higher
Come on baby, light my fire Come on baby, light my fire Try to set the night on fire
The time to hesitate is through No time to wallow in the mire Try now we can only lose And our love become a funeral pyre
Come on baby, light my fire Come on baby, light my fire Try to set the night on fire, yeah

THIS WILL BE THE SHOW TO BE AT!!!! I made up my mind today. I am skipping the Flips for Galactic. I saw the first hour of this show at SXSW, with boots rieley, lyrics born, and gift of gab, and i wished it never ended. Cant wait to see the 3 hour version

I'm pretty distraught that they're playing at the same time as Flips and Mule, but what I think I'm gonna do is start off with the Lips and then depending how I'm feeling them I'll either leave early or leave when they're done and head over to Galactic. Unfortunately, Mule just doesn't hold high enough of a priority to be seen over these other two shows for me.
At least no matter what I end up doing, chances are I'm gonna stumble back to my tent as the sun rises (if not afterwards) and look back and think "holy shit i love Roo"
No matter what you see it's going to be incredible, and u won't go to sleep until the sun comes up.
And I dig me some Mule, BUT....
for late night shows I want to see something crazy happening or it be so completely funky that stopping dancing is not ever a thought that enters my head!
The FLIPS offer the first and the Galactic will bring both.
My only difference is I am going to check out at least the first 30 minutes of Girl Talk, cause that will be a crazy dance party set.
My loyalties lie with Galactic, I mean, if it was just them, I would split time all around as I have seen Galactic well into the double digits.
But with Charlie 2na, Lyrics Born, Gift of Gab, Mr. Lif, etc. The word EXTRAVAGANZA is 100% true. This might be one of the best sets ever for late night 'Roo and I have been year, but we will see.
My night will go...
Girl Talk for 30 > FLIPS for an hour > Galactic extrav. till end or close too > Sasha & Digweed till the sun comes up. (don't believe the 3:30)
Then Stumble back to my campsite in a state of existential bliss!
It is so close, I am even looking forward to the smell of walking ny the port-a-potties.
Disgusting but True, cause it's Bonnarooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

when i first saw the lineup i knew that the Flaming Lips and Galactic were my two biggest priorities. but when i saw that they were playing at the same time i was crushed. im gonna have to go with the flips jsut because the closest their tours ever come to me is atl which is still around 5 hours away while galactic usually comes to mobile (2 hours).
but anyways, im gonna stay the whole lips set cause i dont want to miss anything but im guessin that glactic is gonna last much longer than what the schedule says. at least i hope so
