Correct me if this has been posted already, but I couldn't find it anywhere, but they have removed the "More Artists to be Announced" line at the end of the poster and the lineup. Kind of a bummer, but it means we are closer! and I can quit looking every 10 minutes to see who else is coming, and concentrate on my packing obsession.
Also if you click on the poster it doesn't have it on there but more artists to be announced is still on the smaller version.
hmmmmm indeed!
possible fake out, possible mistake, or possible truth to the statement of no more additions? I will be sad if that is all for the additions, but I can't be that greedy can I? I mean we still have a pretty incredible lineup.

I really believe that if this is it for additions, we may see much longer sets than normal. I've tried to put together a schedule several times, and no matter how you shake it, there are holes in the set times.

While that may be true, it also was by far the best initial announcement yet. I think the leak contained too many bands and Superfly was left with their hands tied.

not sure i agree with the best initial announcement, but to each his own. dont get me wrong there are a lot of acts I am pumped to see, but there are also a LOT that do nothing for me.....like the Police. Oh well.....im not arguing or complaining really, but I do have one long distance long time buddy that doesnt have his tix yet and was hoping for that 1 big announcement to get his ass in gear. we try to go to roo together every year cause that is about the only time we get to hang out. Oh well FU*K it! Roo is in 4 weeks and Im goin to see claypool the fri before roo to get my fix.......im still nothin but smiles!

I doubt that they are done, they still have a few aces up there sleeve I believe. Also they have not announced EOTO, Page pretty much confirmed on some radio station, and I think we will have 2-3 other bands announced with that next week. Keep hopes alive, if not who will. This is still a huge lineup no matter what.

I just counted and there are over a 136 bands scheduled to play the whole weekend. That is a lot of friggin music. Also with the weak additions, I really doubt that, the artists announced for the Jazz announcement are pretty huge. There are many very respected artists their that have been in the business a lot longer than any of us have been alive. I am still hoping for a big rock band addition just to equal out the announcements, but in a way I hope not. I would love to check out some of these jazz bands that I will probably never have the chance to see again.

Gift of Gab is the head of Blackalicious, and he is playing a solo set with Lateef. I really doubt they would leave him off the list since if Blackalicious was playing they would be in the upper section of the listing of bands (popularity). It wouldn't make sense for them not to list him as an official artist.
There is only one way to be sure that this year's additions are over.
When the schedule is released, they're done.
Very true-- and historically, the release of the schedule often heralds new additions as well. In fact it was the early leak of the schedule in 2005 that revealed Kermit Ruffins and a couple of other late-additions.
In total agreement here. The initial lineup was great as it was. More bands just mean more difficult dicisions and schedule conflicts for 'Roo. Can't wait until we get the lineup.
Did they announce a round of additions with the schedule last year? Can anyone remember?
Er, well, I don't remember specifically that there were additions, but I do remember that there were some TBA spots, so it would make sense that those were additions... but they've been known to swap stuff around, too.
As for when the schedule came out - last year it was the 23rd. I doubt it will be the 30th since that's when tix are shipped. The schedule is kind of a last-ditch-effort marketing ploy to sell off the last of the tix.... But perhaps they were already sold out by the 23rd last year? Now I'm doubting my own logic.... ???
