^Gotta agree with you there. It's going to be Sunday at the same time as the Pre-Headline ie.. The White Stripes. I will take a Word set over the Stripes any day, although the comment Ben Harper made about wanting to jam with Jack White does entice me.

It's gotta be a late night...
sat. late night is way too packed to have it then. flaming lips, govt. mule, probably galactic, sasha & digweed, girl talk.
True...but last year went late night after radiohead and the late dresden dolls show, during the first part of sasha's set...it could still be possible...
I just have a hard time seeing the superjam during daylight hours...

SuperJam is going to be awesome either way, no matter who plays. Unforunately I won't be attending seeing as the White Stripes are my favorite band (well in the top five) and it's quite likely that they'll play a lot or all of the "Icky Thump" album. Also, I'll probably end up at the What Stage all day with what will most likely be Ornette Coleman, Wilco, White Stripes, and Widespread Panic. Enjoy SuperJam to all who attend. I know I'll be looking for a recording of it lmao.

I do believe I have figured it out, thanks to sangreal's noticing and posting that North Mississippi Allstars are playing both Saturday and Sunday. This leads me to beleive that North Missippi Allstars will be playing their show on Saturday and the Word will be Sunday's SuperJam. Also, the Philly Experiment will probably play the new Jazz Tent which is sponsored by Blue Note which also happens to be the label that their album came out on. Coincidence, I think not.
Good call, that may be the case. But whose album are you talking about? Both sole albums by The Philadelphia Experiment and The Word were released on Rope-a-Dope.

Here is my idea for Superjam which would make me very happy: Questlove, Ben Harper, Jack White, Robert Randolph, Tom Morello (making appearance) and Page McConnell along with a rotation of the jazz artists providing the extra ambiance. If we could wish hard enough have a member of a headliner come out and shock the audience (Maynard, Sting). Also Medeski & Martin could show up for a song or two before going back to the Jazz tent for their show.

It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
