I had never heard anything by Wilco until I saw them on Letterman last night, and I was impressed. I'm thinkin about getting more of their stuff.
Just a tip that you might want to pick up a couple of discs by Wilco. They seem to change a lot from album to album. Sky Blue Sky came out yesterday, and it's great. But it's really different from Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, which I also think is awesome. I think to fully appreciate Wilco, you have to hear how much ground they have covered.
I disagree, to get into Wilco you have to start like this:
Immediately buy: Yankee Hotel Foxtrot & Sky Blue Sky
2 weeks later buy: A Ghost Is Born & Summerteeth
Another 2 weeks: See them live at Bonnaroo
Immediately after 'Roo: Being There & A.M.
When you discover how brilliant Wilco is, and experience them live at Bonnaroo, you should buy Kicking Television. Then you will fully appreciate how amazing Wilco can be in the studio and on the stage.
