At first I thought they were just holding them as one of the last bands to be announced. NOw I am starting to get worried. moe. was one of the original bands and played the original late night that went til the sun came up. It was one of the best bonnaroo performances ever. I am starting to get worried now, the only light of hope is that they are playing in TN about 5 days before bonnaroo kicks off and have nothing planned that whole week. Will they make an appearance???? It won't be the same without them!!!!!!!!!

Has moe. hinted that they would be added? I have heard nothing about it. I think at this point there are very few artist additions (if any) left to be announced. I wouldn't count on it, but I suppose anything is possible if they don't have conflicts already announced.
No, Bonnaroo will not be the same as previous years if moe. is not there, but that's a GOOD thing. Not dissing on moe., but I would never want Bonnaroo to be the same bands and the same experiences every year. Talk about getting boring real quick.
As a side note, who keeps spreading these rumors that "your favorite band/artist always gets announced at the last minute?" The final announcements are rarely the bands everyone is clamoring for.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

Hence the surprise nature of a big band being named at the last minute. If anyone should know about Moe it should be that one guy who does their podcasts or something on here. He is trying to get a bunch of interviews with bands or something.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."

I'm pretty sure they aren't doing roo because they are doing too many "pay dates" ie. shows where you have to spend a ton of money to get there (they did snoe.down, a cruise, japan, moe.down, Europe,).
To answer a couple things. moe. has played moe.down, summercamp moe.cruise for the past 5 years also. So I doubt these "pay dates" will stop them. Also they have played Every other bonnaroo except one and the one year they played Friday, Saturday and Sunday and last year they played two days. The are road and bonnaroo whores. They love playing live shows.
I don't see why any of that will stop them. There has to be another reason.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
When they come to take you down When they bring that wagon round When they come to call on you and drag your poor body down Just one thing I ask of you, just one thing for me Please forget you know my name, my darling sugaree Shake it, shake it sugaree, just dont tell them that you know me
moe. will prolly not be there and Claypool will definitely not be there unless he's there on thursday the 14th. (That statement pains me to say) He has dates in Florida 15th 16th and in New Orleans on the 17th.
I dig both a ton. Claypool gets a slight edge, but spent last New Year's with moe. and have seen 11 shows, so I want to say they will be at roo. However, I am preparing for the worst so if the pull it out of the bag, it will be that much more sweet.

I'm a die-hard Les Claypool fan and it kills me to say he won't be there this year. But I don't think he was asked to play for some reason. I also know that moe. is doing another festival in TN and Superfly makes people sign contracts about not doing other festivals in the perimeter so it's safe to rule that out.
