This will be my 6th and Im getting more excited by the day. Its fun to lurk in here and see all the buzz. You guys are all about some roo and Im down with that.
Count me in. I bought my tickets this year before they announced the artists. I would go no matter who's playing - it's the atmosphere that brings me back each year.

6th? is that every year then? i thought it started in 2001. not too sure. could be wrong.
Dude lay off the druks and do the math it is Now 2007
2007-2001=6
i never did any math. i said 2001. but wasn't sure if that was right. and i wasn't. if it was 2001, this would be bonnaroo's 7th year. it was actually 2002. and the other dude is right, 2002 to 2007 is six years. so you should prbably check your math there bud.
technically, by the end of this bonnaroo, it will still not have been 5 years since the first bonnarro started.
6/21/02>6/17/07 = 5 days shy of 5 years.
You cannot count the full 12 months before 6/21/02 as a full year. The timespan between the first Bonnaroo and the second Bonnaroo was 1 year, not 2. So this is the 6th Bonnaroo, but only 5 years since Bonnaroo began.

Bonnaroo began for me in February 2002 when the initial press release came out. I was sitting in my house in Manchester when I came across the headline "Trey, Panic to headline inaugural Bonnaroo" online. Fell out of my chair when I read the story.

This will be #6 for me and my wife. We bough tickets only a few days before the fest sold out in 2002, and went knowing exactly 2 acts: Ween and Les Claypool. We figured anything this big w/ 2 of our favorite bands must be something pretty special. We discovered so musc great music, and decided we had to keep coming back as long as they could delivered the goods. They haven't failed us yet!

I have been every year with my father. Mom has made 4 of 5. Sister has made 4 of five. Was press the last two year and last year wrote for the Bonnaroo Beacon and had a photo pass.

This will be my 6th year too. Yeah, the line-ups are always so good that I can't resist. I remember the 1st year none of my friends wanted to go, so I went by myself and had a blast. Since then though, after hearing my stories of how awesome it was, my little Bonnaroo caravan has grown each year. ;D

I think there was a concert that took place on that farm before it became roo, please correct me if I am wrong. I think it was a one day event with a bunch of local bands. Once again though I could be wrong.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
I think there were a couple big concerts with classic rock bands at the Bonnaroo site before Bonnaroo. I think it was called Itchycoo back then. Bands like Heart, Firefall,. Iron Butterfly (I think)
