Page to be added. I really don't have any support for this. But I just remember only a few months ago when we didn't have much proof that the police would play, but look where we are now. Seeing stuff like this just gets me all excited.
Most importantly, Page will be back on tour. In addition to his previously scheduled tour dates, Page responded that he will "be doing more shows in the summer, and there’s certainly the possibility that a festival date will be in there somewhere...There will be more." With the tour conspicuously wrapping up the day before Bonnaroo, there's probably a decent chance of Page playing the Tennessee festival.

Yeah his playing never ceases to amaze me. It's like a calm, psychedelic, lullaby. His voice sounds a lot different than it is live. Interesting stuff.
i'm sticking with my belief that it is too close to june for any more big-name additions, and page i think would fall into that category. i'd love to be proven wrong, as i really enjoyed his set at moe.down last year.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
I don't think the time of year has anything to do with how big of a name gets added to the Bill. in 2002 Phil Lesh w/ Bob Weir was added only weeks prior to the event. The additions have been so lackluster outside of a few names, that they really need a big round to stir up some hype. This is without a doubt the worst year for additions. It's not even close. Previous years have simply had awesome additions on a monthly basis. WE got 1 act added to the lineup in April and it was at the bottom of a "news" email.
I agree Page gets added. The way his tour shapes up leads right into bonnaroo. It's pretty obvious that the tour was structured so that he would be on tour during Bonnaroo, especially considering the album dropped 2 weeks ago.

well, its been postulated as a theory in other threads that the main driving force behind the methodology for releasing additions was to drive ticket sales. if you subscribe to that theory, then it does matter what time of year additions are released because i would think any of the finance wizards at SF/AC would rather have their festival sell out in early may than early june.
furthermore, i've seen posts in other threads here with some data that tickets are selling better this year then in years past. this further validates the theory that additions are released to drive sales, and if sales are up this year based on the strength of the initial lineup alone, why burden yourself as a business with big-name additions that are unnecessary (and more expensive to boot) to bring in additional sales?

when they were out on their first tour last year, they were like a young zep and they did one cover i think .... the first time i saw page, he was with zep and they were the third band in a three band show ... not the headliners, the opening band ..i think it was iron butterfly, fever tree, and zep .... no one knew who that weird singer was, so different, plant of course, and even then, page was stellar .. it was the first show they ever played in the US... dec 26, 1968, the day after christmas if i remember right ... cr*****
