Anyone ever see Apollo Sunshine? I saw them yesterday at UNH's Solarfest (along with the Wood Brothers and Hot Buttered Rum) and they absolutely killed it!
I'd never heard them before, and now I'm psyched to see them again at 'Roo. They definitely bring the funk.

I have never seen them, but at the behest at someone on the message board I downloaded their self-titled album and was immediately hooked. Can't wait to get a live taste at the 'Roo!
Apollo Sunshine is a local boston band, since i goto school in the area so I got to see em a bunch. They even played our basement after spring fling concert!!! Very fresh edgy sound that rocks real hard live.... check em out if you can..

I'ma big fan. i've never seen 'em live but i play the debut album at least every week. They either just barely miossed or barely made my toop ten of bands to see at the Roo. (i can't remember the list now...) I've been trying to get my loser East Coast friends to see them for a long time as the play in NY Boston frequently so i can live vicariously through their fun but they cheese out and never go.....Apollo Sunshine will never play in AZ...
FWIW if i had to guess i would say that their fans will be include some of the prettiest females you'll see at the Roo.

their albums are about a 6.5 out of ten for me, but (now this is a big but) i think the songs on the albums would sound absolutly incredible live, so they're on my don't miss for the world list for thursday

Yea, checking their album stuff out... it doesn't hold a candle to their live show. It's almost puzzling how there could be such a gap, because their live show is absolutely fantastic.
