It'd be interesting, but even if he was I don't think I would go. All he does at his shows is mess around and free-style to some of his beats (Listen to Live From Planet X and you'll see where I'm coming from). I would check him out in Madvillan, though. I would prefer to see MADLIB/ QUASIMOTO at 'Roo. His beats are sick and he's a great rapper. However, I don't think either artist will be present. The Stones Throw label has sky-rocketed lately, but it is still a very small label. If the trends continue, my guess is in a few years we will see someone from Stones Throw at Bonnaroo.
He is not a great MC by any means, but I'd go see him none the less. I mean come on, how could you pass up seeing the voice of the giraffe on Perfect Hair Forever? I say any chance of hearing the great song about eating babies, I'd not pass it up.
"not a great MC by any means" Really? Personally, I think he's one of the best. I'm not going just by his work as MF DOOM, but also including his King Geedorah/Viktor Vaughn/Madvillain personas. Dude is sick, imo. And I've got the Live @ Planet X cd and he definitely does more than mess around and freestyle to his beats. To each his own, but DOOM is at the top of the hip hop game to me. I do agree that Madlib/Quas would be great as well. peace.

Well if you want to include his side projects I agree. Viktor Vaughn and Metal Fingers are pretty sick. Even though it won't happen, I'd say DangerDoom would be the most likely candidate for a future 'Roo artist. DJ Dangermouse has been at 'Roo before and their CD brought them a lot of publicity.

It would make me absolutely giddy to see him at Bonnaroo. But alas, I don't see it happening. Not this year, at least. Your thoughts?
id love to see anybody from the Stones Throw label perform at Roo. from what ive heard from friends, Doom is not the most punctual person and will keep a crowd waiting for a while before he starts a shwo so im not sure how well he would mesh with roo's tight schedule but i would go see him if he were therre. what woudl be really cool is if they had a stones throw set where all the bigger names from stones throw did a set together.
