First off I just watched a live set they did in Harlem on MHD, and all I have to say is that I would shat my pants if somehow, someway Superfly was able to get these guys to play Bonnaroo! I think if they added them, I would be ok with a limited amount of additional artists announcements IMHO! What do you guys think of the possibility, and would you be excited about seeing these guys live?

Damon Albarn (former Blur front man) is behind Gorillaz and GBQ; GBQ are already lined up for Coachella and I think they'd fit the demographic there better than Roo, though I love to see Paul Simonon play again...

^ correct. I thought The Good The Bad And The Queen had a good shot of being at roo this year...
They're in Europe. And I've also heard they're not very good live right now.
I think they have potential if they flesh out their sound, but coming from four or five people I talked to who went to their SXSW showcase, the general feeling was they were boring, didn't play well together and only had a few songs that really played to the potential of their rhythm section.
Their style doesn't really scream "exciting concert" either. I kinda liked the album, prolly would like it the more I listen though. I just remember allot of people on the board were raving over em, and predicting them for initial lineup, and I was really shocked to learn they weren't on it.

well I am basing this off of the Live in Harlem show I watched. They had a huge light show, tons of guests, and all of the different artists that they have played with. It was pretty impressive.

I'd love to see them play live but, sadly, I don't think it's gonna happen at Roo this year. For anyone who hasn't seen it already, you really should get the "Demon Days: LIVE" DVD! It's one of my favorite concert dvds of all time! It's just so well done!

The simple fact is that Damon Albarn is a genius. Besides forming the The Good, The Bad and the Queen and the Gorillaz he was a founding memeber of the band Blur. He's a talented person who will probably never be happy and move to new projects whenever possible.
I remember when they had a debate who was more talented. Damon or the other Britpop artists at the time. I think it has been confirmed he was the standout.

To my knowledge The Gorillaz were never much of a touring band, but since Damon Albarn is The Gorillaz, literally, and he's playing with GBQ, i definatly would not expect it.
